The positives. The town was gorgeous and the hotel location perfect. Our room was nice and clean with a small balcony with a lovely side view of the sea. The beach directly opposite was great! The negatives. Unfriendly, unhelpful, grumpy staff. Not a smile to be seen. Is this the culture perhaps or do they just dislike paying guests? This can make or break a hotel’s worth for us. The breakfast room was hot and the coffee terrible.

Just had the one night here on our trip around Puglia. Good sea view location Breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. Nice large pool area with sun beds. Plenty of places to park but require a ticket. Only let down was the receptionist who was a little miserable.

Dedicated staff in reception especially Alessandra,dining room staff Lucio and Donato and the housekeeping staff who quickly helped me when the lock in our villa broke.Food is mediocre but overall service was v.good. Bedrooms cleaned everyday,Villa just needed airing .

Leuca is the southernmost town on mainland Italy and a popular tourist destination in the summer - we spent a night there in mid March and we practically had the huge hotel to ourselves. A nice enough hotel, pretty costly and with a fine breakfast thrown in. The top floor room that we got was clean and nice and had a fair sized balcony with a magnificent view over the bay. The rest of the town was locked down, the weather, however was great.

Arriving after a 7 hour bike trip in 30 degrees C it was nice to arrive at the hotel which has a excellent location overlooking the harbour. We got a front-room with good balcony overlooking the harbour. Unfortunately the AC was not turned on. Excuse given was it was not hot enough.. yeah right. We have had 28 deg++ for 5 days in a row. Sleep was poor due to too hot room. The hotel should be frank and give the real reason for no AC. Too early in season so it is not echonomically viable to keep it on for 1/2 full hotel.

Great location with a nice private beach. You don't even have ro cross the street to reach the beach, because there's a tunnel underneath. Verry friendly staff and everything is super clean. There is also a deep pool and a small spa. My favourite hotel so far.

This should really be 4.5! We’ve just spent an amazing week here as part of a 3 week whirlwind tour around Italy. The hotel, location and facilities are fantastic, with helpful and attentive staff. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with everything you need (no tea making facilities but we knew this and took a kettle!). Pool area is kept immaculate and there is a private beach with sun loungers. Towels are available at reception. We travelled by train to Gagliano from Bologna which was very easy, although you need to arrange for the hotel driver to collect you from Gagliano. My only very minor criticism would be the staff setting up for breakfast need a little extra training as they crumple up the paper napkins and then try to smooth the creases out when they lay the table… evening meals have linen napkins and the food is very good, although the menu doesn’t offer a wide variety of choice. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if travelling in the area.
