This hotel is a joke. A very bad joke. If you want to waste your hard earned money and ruin your family vacation then this is the place to be, look no further. But if you want to have a nice place to stay and have a good vacation please stay away this rathole. This ”hotel” is something left behind by a long gone era maybe it was good during Mussolini and his era, but ín 2023 it is definitely an absurd very bad joke, a real rathole. The building itself is an old rundown place with very old, broken furniture, not functioning air condition and plumbing system. The air conditioner was at least 20 years old, making loud noise without any cooling effect. A real piece of junk. There was no adequate water pressure so showering was a challenge except you enjoy showering ín cold water only. But the hotel' s main ”attraction” was the restaurant. Now this is the most horrid place I have ever been. The food was terrible, impossible to eat, the portions were ridicoulosly small and the waiters were from a long gone Era As well. They were chatting all the time instead of working so we always had to wait forever to get our disgusting meal, which we couldn't eat anyway. We left the restaurant with an empty stomach on most days. All ín all Hotel San Pietro ín Letojanni should be closed forever ín the benefit of mankind. Please stay away if you want good for yourself and your family!

If you are looking for a nice place with owesome views, it's undoubtedly for you. The panoramic elevetor which connects all buildings is one of the main attraction. The neighbourhood of Taormina, Isola Bella or Giardini Naxos make the place even more interesting. All rooms are very tidy and were cleaned every day. On first day in the room were waiting for us sweets in the room. The building consist of two parts with rooms - Olimpo and Antares, which is more modern. Each building has a separate restaurant with 'fully-equipped” bar. ;) On the evenings there was a live music in the bar, or outside. But the whole complexion is really big and you have to be carefull no to get lost in it. The food was exellent with a lot of pasta, frutti di mare, fish etc. The breakfasts were a little bit boring. All stuff was charming and hellpfull, especially one young barman with a charming voice. I this year I was there two times and I really reccomend the place for those who want to take a breath and enjoy the time in Sicily.

The location and the view of the hotel are impeccable and the rooms have unrivaled sea and mountain views. The facilities are actually very good, but the strange bathroom shower head design makes the bath extremely awkward. The hotel is the old grand theatre, and it is the town that continues to go down. The distances are just right. The beach is not good, but the beaches in southern Italy are the same. It is the kind of large-grained sandstone beach, which is very ground. The only thing that I feel dissatisfied is that the Italians are really too playable. The party is still playing music loudly at 12:30 in the evening. It is not a complaint that it is estimated that it will not be closed several times. Parking is also a bit difficult, we all parked in the parking lot lumbi garage about 2 km away, and then take the shuttle bus, convenient.

As usual this lovely family run hotel was very good. `the private beach is a real asset, and good sized pool, `spotlessly clean, all the staff are lovely and friendly, walk into town so easy and also so easy to get the bus practically outside hotel to Taormina. Hays travel were the only travel company who would bend to our needs. That was a hotel, half board for 2 weeks and then a delayed return flight of one week so we could sail around the volcanic islands north of Sicily. Lovely country Sicily, the people, if you try their lingo, they love it and help and encourage you contantly. The Hotel Caparena was chosen because it was half way between the airport and marina we sailed from. What a fabulous hotel it was too, we shall return. Quite small with plenty of staff. The premises were immaculate, the buffet breakfast suited everyones needs and the dinner was 4 courses of food that I have not experienced before, so Italian/Sicilian. The menu lasted for two nights only and then completely replaced. In the two weeks the menus were never repeated in the same order. We were the only English there which is probably why the standard was so high, full of italians so it was. Never saw a chip or french frie! Beach excellent, lifeguards too. There was a free hotel bus to the nearest town, Taomina, what a beautiful town, it made our home City of York look sad. We used the local trains as well, easy when Italian and English is spoken on the tannoy system. Great hotel, great country, well worth the visit
