My boyfriend and I made a last minute booking on Saturday 6/7/24 to stay that night. As we were traveling from the north it taken us some 4 hours to get there, to include stopping for food. My boyfriend received a call when we were 10mins again from it, to see if we were still coming ‍♀️. Check in was fast and efficient. First impressions the room was nice, dated but nice. I was really impressed by the field day soaps as I know this to be an expensive bring as I actually sell it in my shop. We went to turn on the tv just as background noise while we were unpacking and discovered the tv was actually smashed. Straight away we call reception as we did want blamed for this. Only to be responded with ‘it’s too late to move you room now’ ‍♀️ so we just said ok and got on with our night. Fast forward to breakfast (included in the price) I can honestly say it was the most pathetic breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. We both ordered fluffy pancakes. What arrived was just that! Approximately 3 pancakes slapped on a plate and ONE strawberry cut into segments in a tiny ramekin. Absolutely pathetic. The only decent thing about breakfast was the massive teapot of tea‍♀️ on check out I again mentioned the tv with a surprised first they’ed heard of it expression and no apology or offer of reduction. Plus points Clean rooms Good comfortable bed Quality soaps Brilliant location Bad points Broken tv Terrible breakfast Poor customer care Broken bin in bathroom Broken tap in bath Luke warm water

Fabulous location and amazing staff. We just spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. It sounds like midweek is better if you want a calmer experience...weekends often mean lots of hen and stag parties. Lots to do in the area. Great local Farmer's Market close to the hotel on a Thursday morning.

From start to finish, we experienced the best of service, hospitality and professionalism in the lead up to and on our wedding day, to the moment we checked out of The Landmark Hotel after our wedding. The Landmark really is the complete wedding venue and there are no 'hidden extras'. It is a stunning ballroom and venue. The owner takes a personal hands on approach and this is reflected in the running of the venue and in the way guests are looked after. The staff of The Landmark left no stone unturned and everything was smooth sailing. The venue itself was absolutely fantastic and the food was exceptional. The service on the day of our wedding could not have been better. The Wedding Coordinator (Denice) and the staff and management in The Landmark ensure that everything runs so smoothly. Denice is calmness personified and has everything under control. Her experience shines through at all times. Denice answered any questions so promptly and attended to any query or detail we raised with her. She did her upmost to make our day so special and ensured a personal touch. She was super approachable and flexible and has a solution to everything!

We celebrated my sister's wedding August 30th at The Landmark and it was such an incredible day! Working with Denice Kenny is like working with your best friend, it's natural, she knows what you want/don't want within minutes into a conversation, her recommendations and ideas were spot on, everything was handled with such professionalism and care that the wedding day was nothing short of magical. From the moment the bridal party landed to The Landmark everything was perfect. The bridal party had a quick drink in the bar prior to making our entrance into the reception and the bar staff was having a laugh with us and that literally set the tone for the night. The food was delicious, the waiting staff were great, so kind and fun. The owner came during the meal , introduced himself to the bridal party and asked to meet the parents, he was an absolute gentleman and such a personal touch. Thank you Denice and all the staff at The Landmark. I would highly recommend The Landmark Hotel to any couple looking to get married.

Just back from a lovely short stay in Carrick, the Landmark is the WOW factor. Check in was quick and receptionist so friendly giving plenty of tips on things to do round Leitrim. We didn't venture too far the first night and opted to eat in the restaurant. Menu has a great selection which even suited my other half with all his special dietary requests. Service was outstanding even though it was busy our waitress took time to have a chat and have a giggle. Food was delicious. Breakfast had a wide range of choices and freshly cooked to order( rare these days). As we were out meeting friends on the Friday we weren't overly hungry come the evening and to my delight there was a Tappas menu available in the conservatory. Which was just perfect. I would come back alone for the food and service not even mentioning how gorgeously decorated our room was over looking the Shannon (The rain didn't spoil the view). Well done to the Landmark and Carrick On Shannon.

As returning guests to The Landmark Hotel, we were looking forward to our visit. However, our recent experience was a significant departure from my previous stays. Upon check-in,which was smooth and pleasant, we were informed that reservations were not required for dinner. Despite this advice, we were met with a rude and dismissive attitude from the restaurant manager when we arrived at 7:30 PM without a booking. Despite clear evidence of unoccupied window tables, we were initially denied seating there, only to be begrudgingly offered one after insisting. The service throughout our meal was also subpar, likely due to a shortage of staff. While the staff members were pleasant and helpful, the overall experience was lacking. The restaurant manager could also have helped clearing tables etc but obviously this wasn’t his job. The food quality, while acceptable, had noticeably declined since our last visit. Our evening took an even more disappointing turn when we retired to the bar for a nightcap. To our astonishment, we were informed that last drinks were being served at 11:05 PM, despite the official closing time being 11:30 PM. This early cutoff, particularly during peak tourism season in August, is a stark example of the shortsightedness of Irish hotels complaining about VAT rates and low occupancy while failing to cater to their existing customers. We sat in reception area to finish our drinks during which time several other guests returned to the hotel hoping for a nightcap also but alas it wasn’t to be as bar was closed and several sales opportunities missed by the hotel. There was no night porter available which I found strange and only a sign directing guests to dial 0 but no reply when one returning guest tried it. On a separate issue somebody had got sick in the ladies toilet earlier in the evening and despite a staff member being informed it still hadn’t been cleaned by 11.30 PM. While the breakfast service was commendable, with friendly and helpful staff, my overall experience at The Landmark Hotel was deeply disappointing. I had intended to book a family event for a weekend in February or March but this will no now be happening.Based on this most recent visit, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel.

Stopped off to dinner as on the N4 road- absolutely excellent service by Cathal. The atmosphere is so friendly and inviting The food was delicious, I enjoyed the rib of beef and would highly recommend here for a meal. Looking forward to my next visit.
