Very unique place to appreciate this city. A hostel-cafe with plenty of books (in Chinese) and decent coffee. Friendly owner and family. Very clean. Several eating places around.

Really comfy bed (soft mattress rare in China :)), and cozy room. The hostel is adjacent to a coffee sotting place with cool handmade affordable artworks and good coffee, really recommended.

Omg, our stay here was above the best! Really felt like a luxury lodge, so well maintained and modern and in a good area of the city. Happy (the landlord) even picked us up from the airport, and was the best host for our stay. The whole family are beautiful people and will make you feel at home straight away. All the facilities you need and more the room came with a projector for movies, so unexpected. I will definitely be returning, the atmosphere was stunning and calming and beautiful. Also the bed was definitely the comfiest I have slept on in China, room has aircon. The only downside was no hot water but it wasn't a problem for us while we were there.

The Qiuqiu Homestay is a cosy place full of books and plants. Nice location in the university part of town with lots of trees and little restaurants. The hosting family is very nice and helpful. We were there with two children and enjoyed the large rooms. Bus #13 goes to the Grand Buddha.

The family running this guesthouse are lovely and they have some really cute dogs. We went for the cheapest room type; it had very comfortable beds, electric blankets, a projector and lots of toiletries to use for free. (Please note that the cheapest room type has a squat toilet)
