You can't expect a common hotel. It isn't. Staying in this location is a genuine and marvellous experience of traditional Chinese facility. It is very recommended.

Quaint boutique inn, very Instagrammable. In old Central part of Leshan, easy to get around. Best to get a car/driver if you have big luggages as its located up slope Rooms are clean and staff are friendly.

To be honest, I have stayed in a very average B&B. If I am traveling with my children, avoid this pitfall. 1. There is no sound insulation in the room or room. Although it is an old building with a wooden structure, I have also stayed there. B&Bs renovated from old wooden structures in other places have good sound insulation, but Nanyuan really has no sound insulation at all. The sound from the next room is as if it is in your ears. There is no privacy at all. Considering privacy, If it's sexual, avoid it unless you have the entire yard to yourself. 2. The room was not clean enough. You can see hair and dust on the ground. Because it is a courtyard house, the lighting is very poor and the room is very humid. The bathroom we stayed in did not have dry and wet separation. After taking a shower, it was very humid and the floor was also wet. Quite slippery. Overall, I give 3 points, 1 point for the ancient building, and 2 points for the housekeeper.
