I just stayed as a day guest in this cozy and charming little hotel, that is probably unique in sitting on two sides of an international border. I really liked the cozy charming interior, and the friendly service. The hotel dog is also wonderful.

We only stayed for the fun of sleeping in a room on the border, so our feet were in France and our heads in Switzerland. Despite this, it is actually a nice hotel. Traditional with wood panelling, photos on the wall, newspaper stories about the border hotel and so on. The hotel is a little worn around the edged, but it's also somewhat updated, with TVs and hairdryers in the rooms, wifi, etc. Our room was a bit small, but fine for what we needed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was really good. Plenty of space to store our bags. Our view was over the border between the two countries. Staff are very friendly and speak French and English. Our dinner was quite nice, a traditional Swiss melted cheese dish and breakfast was buffet style, but enough for us. Be aware, there's only one other restaurant up the hill and it may not be open. So choosing a half board option is a good idea. There's only one other souvenir/convenience store in the village. There's some border markers on the hotel and the street outside to take photos of as well. Payment is in Euro and if you need to connect to a phone network, Orange F is available.

Hotel completely run down, cleanliness not great, breakfast where everything was lacking, kitchen could be better, and the worst of all is that we were asked 12 euros for our dog for one night and we didn't even have a bowl of water! This experience was frankly disappointing.

A hotel that seriously lacks maintenance, despite the charm of its old woodwork. The showers aren't very watertight. Water leaks in the walls. Televisions don't work despite numerous requests over several weeks of stay. Cleanliness is passable. The food could do better. A place like this should be a hit. Well, we can understand the lack of staff, given the geographical location. The border isn't far, with a country that is serious and pays its employees.

A wonderful discovery. Of course, not everything is perfect, but what charm!!! We are a long way from the sanitized chains, and that has become so rare that it deserves to be discovered. You can dine there, the dishes served being very good and without unnecessary sophistication.

A hotel located in two countries at once—what a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, the hotel's age isn't the only thing that shows. It's more about the idea than the ambiance. The restaurant, however, is very good.
