We arrived at 3pm after a long drive from Troyes. We had a text to say the room was ready which was great. I checked in and we were told we were in Arpasson block. We duly unloaded the car only to discover there are 2 Arpasson blocks- would have been handy to be told which block we were in. Having eventally discovered the location of the appartment we moved all our luggage, skis etc to the other block, only to find the bedroom consisted of bunk beds- we are 61 and 70 respectively and clearly this was not an option! I returned to reception and was met with downright hostiltiy from a receptionist (dark hair, pony tail) I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was very nice and agreed the accomodation was unsuitable. She gave me the keys to another appartment in the other Arpasson block. Again, we moved all the luggage, skis etc.. and guess what.. the new appartment only had bunk beds!! I returned to reception and spoke to her again- it seemed she didn't believe me and accompanied me to the second appartment. She then said OK- I have another appartment but it will need cleaning. We agreed and moved (again) all the luggage skis etc. to reception. My 70 year old husband was exhausted by this time so I did it myself (4 journeys) with no offer of assistance. We repaired to the bar and at 6pm (3 hours after we had arrived) we gained entrance to the third appartment, which was fine if a bit tired, with proper beds, but no oven- only a microwave. To be fair, on this occasion the manager did arrange for the luggage to be taken to the room. I then realised the linen pack we had prepaid was still in appartment No1! Once again down to reception only to be asked and cross examined (by the previously mentioned receptionist) to prove I had ordered said pack- I confess I had had enough by now and may have been less than polite! To add insult to injury my hands were so full of linen that I could not see where I was going and slipped and injured myself on the very icy (uncleared) path. Thankfully the rest of the stay was reasonably pleasant and uneventful On departure day - it is really difficult to load a car as any (limited) parking is a good 5 mins walk away. I made 4 trips to the car and we were loaded and ready. It took me 2 hours to achive this. I returned the linen to reception and was greeting by the same receptionist- he told me to take the linen downstairs and if I didn't he would charge me 35 euros. Few questions: Receptionist is clearly in the wrong job, rude and lack of information Charging for towels and sheets in this day and age! How often are the blankets washed? Our appartment apparently slept 5 but was tight even with 2 at least 3 would be sleeping in the lounge area and god knows where you would put 5 people's kit! Trying to be positive: It is genuinely ski in ski out right on the green run down to Meribal Mottaret and therefore completely accessible to whole of Trois Vallees Bar is nice with friendly staff, likewise the ski shop
