The website says it has a spa. It does, but it’s dirty and run down and you have to pay 50+ EUR to use one of the facilities (a separate charge for the sauna and jacuzzi, for example). The website says they have horse riding but they told us on arrival that this was not available. The website says they have karaoke - when we asked about this, they informed us that it might be broken and if it worked, it would cost us EUR 50 per hour. The website says they have a big indoor playroom but this was closed. They make much of the food being made/grown on site or from local producers but much of what we received was industrial ultra-processed rubbish - eg the ‘fresh’ juice, ham, sausages, chips, bread, chicken nuggets etc. The overall place is run down and poorly maintained. The skeleton staff gave the clear impression that they couldn’t be bothered to respond to our simple requests. Avoid.

My family and I stayed in Pristava Lepena for 5 nights in the middle of July. We loved the area of Bovec/Soca Valley however the hotel was well below our expectations. One of the main problems was that our boiler was broken for the first 4 nights of our stay. This applied to both our rooms and the room above us as well. We were offered showers in the spa which were very dirty. The receptionist was very apologetic about the issue and we were offered a small amount of money off but it was very substandard for accommodation at this price. We also found that the activities on site were either severely overpriced, or in the case of the 'tennis court', non-existent. The spa facilities (jacuzzi, sauna etc.) were priced upwards of €60-100 for one hour! The restaurant was a mixed bag: we ate two nights there for dinner and found the food tasty and, although on the expensive side, reasonably priced. However breakfast was a different story. There were very limited options, and the service was frankly awful. The eggs and bacon were poorly cooked, and the waitress + chef were very rude and reluctant to replenish any of the items on offer. Again, under-par for the price that we paid. The main positive point of the site is the location and I would highly recommend the Bovec region for hiking and water sport activities, as well as to enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately the high potential of this hotel was ruined by poor management and organisation.

We stayed in the hotel and had a very nice experience. We dined in the restaurant, and the food was excellent and the service was very nice and caring. We would love to come again. It was a bit overpriced. The atmosephere was very charming and we enjoyed it very much.

Positives: The location is wonderful and picturesque. There is fab outdoor space and well located for the general area but at a price. The pool is nice although I wish other guests would be more cognisant of fellow travellers. Reserving the limited sun beds all day not to use them etc.. Maybe some extra hotel rules would help? The negatives: whilst very much a 4 star location, there's 5 star price but 3 star accommodation. I fixed lights which weren't working and the shower head myself but overall it was a poor standard... Whilst photos sometimes might not do somewhere justice but in this case they do, Best bring your own towels and toiletries, yes they provide 2 sachets per stay but that's unlikely to be enough. Breakfast was OK but needed to keep asking for things to be replaced and the surly staff didn't seem to be particularly interested in customer service. The kids games and activities were apparently available but difficult to arrange or find as the staff weren't around much. Little kids loved seeing the animals. Decided not to get a free ice cream for a positive review. Horse riding wasn't available on site and not for kids but booked Posestvo Blata nearby at Zaga which was great - beautiful horses and lovely staff.

We stayed in Cabin A3 with our family of 6 for 3 nights. This is a peaceful, slightly rustic but very comfortable lodging in an absolutely beautiful valley surrounded by the mountains and with the Soca river flowing below (5 minute walk down the hill, 7 minute walk back up the hill). The horses, goats, chickens, and cats add a bucolic, enjoyable feel to the site. Our cabin was comfortable, quiet, and with easy access to everything (5 min walk to the restaurant). The staff were very helpful--providing us with a take away breakfast one morning (they gave it to us the night before and we stored in our room fridge), doing some laundry for us (reasonable extra charge), booking a massage on site (great massage for my daughter and me), and arranging the wood coals heated hot tub (need 5 hours advance planning to heat) and sauna (2 hours advance). We ate dinner there each night and had delicious meals, and wonderful service by Julia and others. The included continental buffet breakfast was plenty to start our day with. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly and professional. We walked to the river one evening and enjoyed the peaceful scene and scenery and the very cold water soothed our tired hiking feet! We first reserved lodging here in late 2019 and the hotel kept our deposit for THREE years until we could finally reschedule after Covid. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful tranquil setting with friendly and helpful staff.

What a bad experience ! Never again . We spended with our group 11660€ in 2 days and still had to pay 30€ extra because there was blood on a towel. Because of a lack of staff in the restaurant we had to eat in shifts. The asked also 100€ extra for service after 22PM. The television in the restaurant was out of service.

+ great place, surrounded by pristine nature and very close to the river. - The 'welcome' when we arrived by the russian personnel was extremely cold/unfriendly and so were all other interactions. Basically the girls gave us the feeling that we were bothering them by being there and they would rather look at their phones...Rest of the staff at dinner were better. - The rodents -called 'pol' in slovenian, cross between mouse and squirrel- were quite noisy at night. If you are a light sleeper, no can do... - Need a car to get to Bovec and to activities but most people there have one.

Nice and comfy accommodation with a nice pool while waiting for better weather 🙂. Because of the weather we were allowed to check-in earlier then written on the homepage. When we shared our meal, the stuff was so friendly to use two seperate plates.
