We stayed at this hotel on 29th- 31th October 2023. Before booking this Hotel i called up the Hotel and asked for Massage packages. After a couple of calls they sent me Massage brochures via Email. I booked a massage package for myself and my wife and I mentioned on the call that we were looking for some good massages. We arrived at the Hotel around 17:00. The staffs at the reception were really friendly and welcomed us. The room was nice and cozy. It would have been much better if there was one big bed instead of 2 separate beds put together. After a long day, we wanted to have a nice time in Sauna. Before entering Sauna room, we wanted to take a shower and one of the Showering area had a strong Urine smell which extremely disappointing. Next day: The Breakfast was bad. Although the Breads were good, unfortunately the Cheese were extremely dry and was really hard to chew. And the coffee was not warm. In the evening, we went for the Massage, The Masseuse was an old guy probably in his late 70s. This was the most terrible massage i had in my life. we booked a Full body + Face aroma oil massage , but what we experienced there was not even close to an aroma oil massage. The oil that was used had no aroma and the massage he gave was terrible. Probably the guy didn't have enough strength to give the massages. We felt no different before and after our massage sessions except we were down by 170 Eur (85 Eur pp). After the terrible massage, we went to Sauna again but the Urine smell in the showering area was much more stronger than the day before. I wouldn't goto this Hotel again. This hotel was the lowlight in our Vacation.

We were returning to this hotel following a stay before covid. The hotel has had new owners since 2021 and is part of the JUFA chain. We received a friendly welcome and details of the hotel were explained to us, we were given a menu to choose our evening meal. The room was very good with a balcony over looking the valley with beautiful pastural views. There was a good bathroom with an excellent shower. We had a problem with the basin which was fixed the next day. One of the main reasons for coming back to this hotel was the food, which sadly was not up to the same standard. Breakfasts were badly organised with food either not being put out or replaced when empty. The evening meal was 3 courses for 29 euros with a basic starter and a limited choice of main course, one night it was either chicken or fish curry. The hotel has a large pool which was fine but some of the ceiling panels had fallen out and not been replaced. The location is excellent and may be enough for us to come back in the future but the food needs to improve first.

We stayed at this hotel on 16th March 2023. I had stayed at this hotel previously with my son before it became "JUFA" and as my wife and I were hiking our way through the Black Forest, it seemed the ideal location to end our trip. The welcome we received was friendly, and we made use of the swimming pool and sauna, which were lovely at the end of a day's hiking. The rooms and facilities (including the swimming pool) seem a little tired. It doesn't appear that much has been done in the way of maintenance since I last stayed 9 years ago. The Sauna was the only exception, which appeared well maintained. Our room had a cracked sink, which when you consider that the hotel was not busy, you would think they could have put us in a better room with no defects. This was also the only hotel on our trip where we were given two single beds pushed together as a double. We were told at check-in that we could only have a fixed menu (halb-pension), which was understandable as there weren't many people staying. There were options for the main course, and I chose the Sea Bass (Wolfbarsch), and my wife chose the mushroom tagliatelle. The food was simply awful. The worst food of our trip. The tomato soup was totally salty, way over seasoned. Both our main courses were bland at best. The tagliatelle was a demonstration of lazy, unimaginative cooking. No sauce, just mushrooms cooked in butter, served with over cooked pasta (I would feel sorry for vegitarians staying here, if that is their only choice). I can't say exactly what we had for dessert, but whilst my wife's looked fresh, whereas mine looked like it had been sitting around for a week (see my photos) in any case both were equally in-edible. When this was raised to the waitress, we were offered no apology and didn't see her again. Breakfast was buffet style. I think somethings were not fresh, and they may have been served up more than once. The sliced cheese, for example, was curling up at the edges, which is not normal (especially as we were not at a late breakfast sitting). We were careful what we selected to eat. On a positive note the staff in general were friendly and we enjoyed the sauna and swimming pool. However, this hotel is way below par, and I would not recommend it unless there is significant improvement. We stayed at this hotel on 16th March 2023. Very friendly staff at reception and restaurant. Good Information on day trips, biking and hiking. Compliments! Rooms are basic, bathroom small but clean Unfortunately our night rests were disrupted by loud snorking and coughing neighbours. Mattresses quality could be better South side rooms with nice view (only) recommended. WiFi OK, sometimes bit unstable. A la carte food very well prepared (Schnitzel, Rumpsteak, Rindsfilet). Prompt delivery by friendly staff. Also day menus available. Breakfast as of 0730h. Boiled and scrambled eggs, dedicated table per booking.

We were very satisfied! All the staff were very polite and helpful! The food was also very good! The hotel is a bit old! You just have to ignore it! The walls are quite thin so it's hard to hear anything!

The hotel is somewhat secluded near the edge of the forest in Saig. Quiet area. Very nice view. Half board is recommended as the nearest place to eat is a 10-minute walk away. The whole hotel is very old but will be renovated next winter. Very nice, large family room. All rooms can only be reached on foot. There is no elevator in the whole building. The rooms are all very old but clean. Bathrobes and towels as well as bathing shoes are available. The mattresses are rather hard and saggy. Very fine breakfast buffet. Everything is fresh. As there were very few guests, we were able to choose our evening meal from the menu. Everything was freshly cooked. Very tasty. The hotel's own playground inside and outside is rather meager. We missed a climbing playground like in other Jufa hotels. I hope that the playground will also be renovated during the renovation. The indoor pool and bowling alley are old but very nice and large. The ping pong table and football table are right next to the baby play area. Very nice staff. Always helpful and friendly.

Clean and tidy with a large pool! Unfortunately, we were assigned a restaurant seat in the dining room for several days, away from the viewing windows. When we asked to be allowed to take a different seat by the window - there were enough options - our request was denied or no effort was made, even though the dining room was never full. Taking care of a guest's wishes looks different.
