We randomly chose a homestay when we arrived at the Miao village. We wanted to go there with the mentality of giving it a try, but the homestay was unexpectedly good. The room was very clean and they provided disposable towels, bath towels and toilet mats for free. It was just behind the ancient street and very quiet, and we didn’t have to climb many stairs. We arrived at the Miao Museum and contacted the proprietress to pick us up to the hotel. There is also a large viewing platform on the roof of their building. The view is amazing. He was afraid that we would not be used to the stone roads in Miao Village, so he told us not to bring too much. It was a lot easier for us to carry our luggage when we came in. It was the off-season and many rooms were not fully booked. The boss upgraded us to their double bed room with a good view. It was very clean, the view was great, and the experience was great.
