Warm reception, delightful friendly and helpful staff throughout. Great breakfast choice in restaurant with views across the town to the wonderful castle. Nice little rooftop pool and bar. The mini apartment was great .... big comfortable beds, nicely equipped kitchen area and spacious lounge. All clean. Couldn't have asked for more especially at the orice. Really impressed.

From the initial enquiry contact with Luis on reception to the moment we left this Hotel was simply excellent in every way. I could not find the missing star but it must have been there somewhere, probably enjoying the great spa, resteraunt or room. All faultless. The Hotel is definitely a 5 star experience and punching way above its 4 stars. The effort and thoughtfullness of every staff member should be what all hotels of this type and above should be aiming for. The very best we have received in a very long while. Andre was exceptional in the resteraunt. Nothing too much trouble and telepathic quality service. A skill. Food was of a high standard from a young chef with flair and a obvious passion and superbly presented. The wine list had some fantastic reds from Alentejio, we took a recommended one that was excellent. The superior room was large, modern, tasteful with great bathroom with double jacuzzi bath. Downstairs the spa and indoor pool facilities were great, Turkish steam room, sauna, pool, jacuzzi and showers and loungers all great. Outdoor pool looks good too. The breakfast was a very complete hot or continental type, superb. Look no further. Exceptional Hotel and staff. Well done. Return assured.

Very friendly and welcoming reception. We had the privilege of staying in a suite, an upgrade offered by the hotel because we were there for the first time, because they had a suite available and they wanted to offer an upgrade to our reservation. We were very pleased with the way they welcomed us. I advise and recommend.

Fantastic Hotel Spa, well designed and very spacious, located in small village with all services (kids park & futball pitch, sport area, all at walking distance from hotel). You can visit the magnificent monastery (at 5mn walk) ,and also go to nazare & alcobaca at 25mn, Lot of very good local restaurants in the village (burro velho has astonishing meat),

We are currently staying here, and I’m absolutely fuming. Have asked 5 times to resolve the no aircon issue- after they admitted at the reception that the central air was off! Apparently the maintenance man came to the room, nothing resolved. 2700€ for 3 nights in a hotel. Now supposedly resolved tmrw?? After mentioning at 1pm and now it’s 10pm. No offer to change our rooms. No offer for compensation. The nice receptionist has been able to do anything. And now, to top it all all… banging and moving of furniture of the Restaurant below and it’s almost midnight! How are we supposed to accept that we actually paid to stay here!?

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! Efficient, polite and helpful staff. Nice lobby area. Simply-furnished but clean and comfortable rooms that reflected the theme of pilgrimage in this town. I love the fact that they have a crucifix in every room! Everything worked well in the room and the beds were very comfortable! We had a room with a stunning view of the grounds and the sanctuary. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, far from the noisy pilgrims who, unfortunately, very frequently forget that this is a pilgrimage town! There was ample free public parking on the road outside the hotel and a hotel-owned private parking area just across the road. Walking through the hotel’s grounds and the picnic area of the sanctuary will lead you to the back part of the Basilica of the Rosary. It’s a short, pleasant walk - around 5 minutes. There are coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was standard continental fare. Nothing fanciful but plentiful. No hot dishes. Fresh fruits like apples, oranges and bananas were available. It was self-service which, to me, wasn’t ideal during this pandemic. The staff should be the ones serving the food to avoid many different hands handling the serving tongs/ladles. In addition, every time clients want more food, the food should be served on a clean, new plate. This is just to avoid the serving tongs/ladles from coming into contact with soiled plates and then being returned to the clean food dish. It prevents food contamination. A few other hotels in Fátima actually practise this at their buffets which is really a very hygienic practice! The restaurant area was large and tables well spaced-out. The hotel also provides half board and full board. Apart from breakfast, we didn’t have any other meal there so cannot comment on the quality of the food. We did, however, notice many Portuguese come for meals at the restaurant. Lunch or dinner costs €11/person. The best part of this hotel was the on-site beautiful chapel with the presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament! Masses are said here every morning (7.45 a.m. on weekdays). It was such a bonus for us - to be able to start the day with Mass! Beautiful! The Masses are said in Portuguese and the ambience is so serene and spiritual with the community (priests, nuns and lay religious) present there that you feel at peace and one with God. In sum, this hotel is a good candidate for those wanting to conduct their own private retreat. It has a quiet, spiritual ambience and is very good value for money as breakfast is included in the room rate. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are looking for a peaceful stay. I stayed one night at the Mercure hotel in Fátima. I was greatly impressed with hotel's excellent location, high quality services, and excellent cuisine. The staff is very friendly, efficient and professional, always eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Very nice décor overall and very comfortable rooms. An excellent experience. From now on this will be my hotel in Fátima. I strongly recommend it.
