We came for a special birthday lunchtime meal. Lamb main course, drinks and puddings were excellent. Service was first rate. I initially complained about the mixed grill as everything seemed under cooked. This was quickly sorted out but of course not until my wife had eaten her main course. The 2nd meal is in the photos...Over £21 for a mixed grill... steak was wafer thin just like a minute steak, Gammon had gristle and the "Chicken Breast" was smaller than the Tomato. The fries were warm and soggy. Thankfully they didn't charge for the mixed grill and one of the puddings. We will return to give them a second chance. Hopefully this mixed grill was a one off and next time it will be as described

The staff here are so welcoming and friendly, room was very clean and comfortable as was the en-suite, breakfast was fantastic never any trouble or rush to finish a very relaxed start to the day, the evening meals were very tasty with plenty of choice, we would definitely stay here again. We also recommendation walk round the castle we did it in the evening and had baby frogs leaping round our feet, also loots of geese and a heron.

Good room, warm and clean. Had usual biscuits and tea etc. Little container for fresh milk or oat milk which can be refilled at the bar. There is a reasonably priced Breakfast (full English) which was £10.50. Continental was £7. Pamela was very helpful.

Lovely stay at the Castle Hotel, room was spotless and Comfy, and food was very nice. I had a lovely chat with the housekeeper Karen on my way out, who was very kind and helped direct me to where I could get my breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Thanks :)

We’ve stayed at The Castle on a few occasions whilst visiting family in Kirby Muxloe. We’ve had the pleasure of staying in a number of the hotel rooms which have all been clean, comfortable and modern. The rooms vary in size between adequate and palatial at various price points, none of which are excessive given the facilities and service we have received. Staff are friendly without being intrusive, and breakfast and dinner have been good both in terms of quality and price. Special thanks to Caroline and Pam who always seem happy to see us and have always go above and beyond to help even arranging for me to have a bacon sandwich when I thought I had missed breakfast at park run!

Our group of 12 stayed at the Castle Hotel for a weekend visit to Leicestershire. It was an excellent location for us as we were visiting the Cathedral (park & ride close by) & then walking around Bradgate Park & Beacon Hill. All the staff were excellent. Dinner on the Friday evening was very good & breakfasts were plentiful. Our group had a very enjoyable weekend & The Castle Hotel went a long way to making it so.

Excellent spacious room with really comfortable bed. Chef and Brewer standard menu but with Chef specials which were very good. All staff were very friendly especially Caroline at breakfast. Thanks for the chat!! I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

An altogether enjoyable two-night stay. Very pleasant bedroom, excellent evening meal and lovely bar snacks. Especial thanks to the very helpful and friendly breakfast staff, Caroline and Becca. The service could not have been better.
