Just back from a two night stay at this hotel. Staff are amazing. My son is moderate with autism and they all went above and beyond to make sure he felt at ease. A special mention to Tina in the bar who was so friendly and helpful. Michaela served us also and she could not have been nicer. The staff really make this place. Sinead on reception was so helpful and friendly too. Food was amazing. I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat. There were a few about but not too busy but we prefer that. Thanks again Mulroy woods

What a lovely base to explore Donegal from regardless of the weather. Rooms spacious with comfy beds & everything we needed for our short stay. The only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay long enough! Highlights were definitely the staff (especially Tina for all her help including when we had to switch rooms) and the food which was amazing morning & nighttime. We would definitely recommend Mulroy Woods Hotel & look forward to visiting again soon! The Smyths.

The hotel was empty. A large section of the hotel is cordoned off for immigrants. We were completely unaware of this and on arrival on mother's Day the place was empty which was a surprise to us. We had no one to talk to other than staff. The cordoned off area outside is solely for the use of immigrants and the rooms are below the guest rooms. The courtyard they use is very noisy day and night and we were right above it. Overall very disappointing and due to the lack of paying guests there's a complete lack of atmosphere. We will not be staying again.

We had a lovely stay here over St Patricks weekend. We ate at the hotel and had the bar menu on Saturday and then Sunday Lunch. Breakfast both mornings was also lovely. The food overall was first class. The room was spotless and warm. Bed very comfortable. We have booked to go back later in the year.

Staff were great. However.......place was completely dead as this hotel is housing migrants. Had I have known this we wouldn't have been there and will not be back. Bar/restaurant was completely empty both nights. We ate in town. Lovely hotel but if they're housing illegal undocumented migrants, they'll not be getting my money again. Avoid.

Came into the hotel with my partner and decided to get a drink , as we approached the bar there was a staff member called Michaela working behind the bar , there was no hello or friendly gestures , did not come over to ask if we wanted a drink baring in mind it wasn’t busy at all , I asked her if they did cocktails and she just nodded her head , then I had to ask for a cocktail menu in which she just rolled her eyes and passed the job onto the other staff member as she walked away , not accommodating and approachable at all and nearly felt like as if we were bothering her

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING IN THIS PLACE. The owners should be honest and tell you this is a full time refuge centre with at least 150 African and Middle eastern refugees staying there. This is not a place to holiday in or stay in safely anymore.
