"Good hotel but have bad experience. As I arrived at the hotel around 22:00 I booked a suite to have a quiet night but at around 4:00am I was woken up by a loud knocking on the door, I don't know how long he had been there, I was very disturbed to see through the peephole a drunken male in a grey blouse on the floor, he kept screaming and banging on the door next to a person in a pink skirt in front of my door , I was very scared and I called the front desk in a hurry and the front desk kicked him out. But I was mentally damaged, I was woken up at 4am by knocking on the door, I was in the hotel alone as a female and my personal mental state was seriously damaged, however the hotel did not give me any feedback either, this night was the worst night of my stay."
"This was definitely a mixed visit. On arrival we were checked in quite quickly receptionist was firmly enough although the reception desk itself seemed more like an information hub then a check in desk so the initial walk in was a bit confusing for me and my partner who don't stay in many hotels.. the one main thing that I noticed in the reception area is just through a set of double doors towards what would seem to be a fitness studio with an overlook of the pool had a chair with quite a nasty looking stain picture included. On arrival into the room things seemed clean tidy and presentable although there were a couple of things that could have been better for example one normal sized towel and 3 hand towels wasn't great and 2 towels would have been better, the toilet roll was very basic and clearly the cheaper stuff which you wouldn't so much expect when staying at a village hotel, there was a tile missing on the bathroom floor with a questionable amount of dust and dirt inside and around this hole and finally the doorframe seemed to be hanging off pictures of this are included. We had a look at the restraunt menu and it's safe to day if you don't fancy a burger, salad or chicken wings you will have to make other arrangements as we did by visiting the local residence 74 cafe about a mile away where we had a lovely time great food and a reasonable meal price. The bar is quite an open space and at first a bit confusing as there are some cinema chairs and big tvs but only playing the news. We had a drink I'm the evening this was probably priced for the venue but at £15 for a single vodka and lemonade and a double whisky we decided on only one when we found out that the bar closed for residents at 11pm which we found a bit early as other places stay open for residents. Room service would have been an option but from what I read this finished at 9.30pm and the is no in room phone to order such. Sleep was comfortable and sheets were clean it was just very hot as the window barely opens, there was no fan provided and no aircon. The TV also says its an Internet TV but upon attempt of connection no services were available. This morning the hotel seemed alot calmer and relaxed, we weren't sure of the breakfast procedures at all so we just sat down and were asked our room number but my partner got quite frustrated as she is autistic and no clear instructions were given it took us a while to source out breakfast and when we did we noticed it was very limited consisting of mushroom scrambled egg starnge potato circles beans tomatoes sausage and bacon. Honestly for me hash Brown's and black pudding are staples of English breakfast and should always be included when possible but unfortunately they were unavailable. I was going to ask a staff member but only one was seen briefly. There was also a High table next to us that was very dirty and when the staff member went to clean she simply sprayed it didn't wipe it and moved on, this didn't seem very hygienic. Breakfast was very average the addition of streaky bacon and chipolata sausages as opposed to tradition thick sausages and back bacon seemed very odd and definitely not our cup of tea! Coffee was not good atall however they do have a starbucks with is great because we do enjoy it. The night receptionist seemed to keeping a very close on me without speaking I found this quite lntimidating as a hotel guest and would have preferred him to ask me any concerns he had other than staring at me until I awkwardly said hello in which he just smiled and looked away briefly until I did then followed me with his eyes towards the stairs and no doubt watched me on camera until I entered my room. Overall a fair experience perfect I guess if you just need a quick room and have to extra money to burn but not ideal for us so probably wouldn't return."
"Lovely hotel and excellent value if you can book it at the right time. Very luxurious for the price I paid. A little bit out on a limb for access into Leeds city centre but plenty of bars and restaurants in nearby Headingley. The main restaurant at the hotel is quite upmarket but the attached pub The Stables is excellent value for money. Highly recommended."

The Mansio Suites Basinghall provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Mansio Suites Basinghall is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Leeds. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 500m from Leeds Railway Station and 14km from Leeds Bradford Airport. Keeping busy is easy, with Revolution Leeds - Call Lane, First Direct Arena and City Varieties Music Hall all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate.
"Not one of the better Premier Inns I’ve stayed at. Getting very dated and in need a a complete refurb. Situated a bit in the middle of nowhere, neither close to Leeds city centre nor the M1 and A1 . A comfortable and clean room but the choice a places to eat was limited to just the chain restaurant opposite. I booked at a very good price so can’t really complain as such. The usual rates are considerably higher and so not worthwhile"
"Very impressed with this hotel for price I paid - although I notice that I got a very good price compared to what it typically goes for. Comfortable bed, good size room, relatively modern interior. It is a 15 min drive from Leeds centre which may put some off, but overall I was really happy with my stay."
"Old-fashioned British experience. The hotel is beautiful, the hygiene is very clean, the details are very good, especially the bathroom, bright and clean. Although the hotel is not big, there are some. Send breakfast. The service is also very good. Basically, you have to ask them to be satisfied and have a good attitude. The location is a little away from the university, it is a little way to go, but the surrounding is very convenient, it is a residential area, relatively quiet. The overall feeling is still worth the money."
"🚗 Traffic: Very close to the train station and Leeds University, with good parking spaces. The location is relatively hidden and there is no obvious sign, so privacy is also very good. (Address: LS1 5JW)
🔔 Service: The front desk is very polite, need ID (generally not required) deposit 200GBP, five-star hotel lobby service
🧹 Health: It's relatively clean, maybe some old stains can't be solved.
🍃 Environment: It is a better hotel apartment with complete facilities. You may need to pay attention to not leaving the fan outside, which makes the room more complicated."

Very Good
MMoeshouseDepending on exit, it could be a 5 to 10 minute walk from the station at a leisurely pace. Upon arriving check-in was simple easy and the staff were incredibly friendly. They were informative. Let me know if I wanted a breakfast option pricing and where the location of the breakfast would be to inform me of when certain exits would be open and what time until.
The room. I can’t lie I was pleasantly surprised, it’s been awhile since I stayed in a Novotel room. Not a huge egg, but I always find it weird when the toilet is separate from the bathroom but that’s no biggie. The bed was generous in size with a firm mattress and a soft topper. It felt like a two season duvet and the pillows were a little too soft for me but doubling up solve that problem. The shower/bath had an overhead shower function as well as a traditional showerhead, which made the end of my showering journey so much more pleasant.
Amenities include included huge TV, a decent desk and a comfy chair , a sofa that could could turn into a bed, but the one thing that I valued the most was a little mini fridge located underneath the tea and coffee area.
In the hotel, is the soap factory bar, a very comfy sofa centric bar and cocktail lounge great to get a good drink and a bit of pub style food.
Additionally, is a restaurant that will serve the morning breakfast and a believe lunch as well.
POI, through the bar towards the Whitehall Road exit is a couple of shops that are worth knowing, a Greggs, Tesco express and a Marks & Spencer’s food hall are all located across the road. To add, taking a lift out the exit and a two minute distance away is a Sainsbury’s local which has a handy cashpoint if needed.
I generally checked out thinking this might be my hotel of choice when coming back to Leeds.

MMs.MeeraStaff was friendly at the check-in, quick and easy. I'm terrible with names but the lady I spoke to had curly dark hair, with glasses, she was really helpful and she kindly upgraded my room to an Excutive King. It was on the 10th floor. The room boast some excellent amenities, it was clean and well air conditioned. The best part about the room was the views, overlooking the city of Leeds. Overall, will definitely be staying here again, it is a 2/3minute walk from the train station, a few steps to Trinity shopping centre.

JJulieI was a little hesitant to book this hotel with it being on a service station- how wrong I was. Absolute gem of a place, hotel room was lovely, quiet and clean. Free parking and a 15 minute drive into Leeds. Next door in the service station there is Starbucks, Leon, pizza express, Nando’s, Greggs, M&S etc. will definitely stay again.
RRaktima RavaThe room was nice and I loved the food at their restaurant. The only issue was their flush, they said they did some new plumbing and since then the flush needed an extra push, which in general were difficult and if you have longer nails it's extra difficult.

GGuest UserThe hotel benefits from a very convenient location, which is one of its strongest points. It was generally clean, but several issues negatively impacted our stay.
Our first room was uncomfortably cold, with half the lights not working and a loose faucet in the bathroom, suggesting a lack of proper maintenance. After reporting the heating problem, we were moved to another room. However, it became clear that we were not the only ones experiencing this issue—other guests were also having their rooms changed due to cold temperatures. It seems that because the hotel is so large, staff may not have the time to check the heating systems in all rooms. Compounding this, the rooms tended to get very stuffy, making it hard to find a comfortable temperature.
When we requested extra bedding because there were three of us but only two duvets provided, we were informed that housekeeping had none available. This was surprising and inconvenient, as basic bedding for all guests should have been ensured.
The bedding, although washed, had visible stains on some sheets, detracting from the overall impression of cleanliness. Adding to the disorganization, the cleaning staff worked at very unusual hours. When we returned from dinner well after 10 PM, room cleaning was still ongoing, which was unexpected.
Another frustrating issue was that one of the elevator call buttons (for going down) did not work, and no notice or sign had been placed to inform guests. This added unnecessary inconvenience and further highlighted a lack of attention to detail.
Overall, while the location and basic cleanliness are positives, the hotel suffers from significant maintenance issues, inconsistent heating, a shortage of basic amenities like extra duvets, unusual cleaning schedules, and overlooked problems like broken elevator buttons. Addressing these concerns could significantly improve the guest experience.
GGuest UserBeauitful hotel, very clean. The room was big and clean. The facilities provided are everything you can ask for. Brilliant location very central to city centre. Excellent location to train station. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and polite. Breakfast was very tasty. Lots of selection from conitendal to hot food. Would highly recommend paying the extra to stay at The Queens.
GGuest UserExperience with the Discovery as always would have been very good. But unfortunately due to illness the trip had to be cancelled..very disappointing. Always happy and look forward to our next visit.

GGuest UserIf location is your top priority, this hotel has you covered—it’s right in the heart of everything! But if you’re planning to stay more than one night, you might want to think twice…
Let’s talk about the bed: firm, with equally firm pillows, so if you prefer sleeping on a cloud, you’re in for a rough night. Light sleepers beware—thin walls mean you’ll be serenaded by corridor noise and door slams, not to mention the mysterious, ever-running water from who-knows-where (probably the rooms next door)!
Amenities? Minimal. One towel, no in-room kettle (hot water is available downstairs for 20p—bring your own cup or get one from reception! Other hot drinks and a vending machine are available in reception too), and you’ll need to request a hair dryer at reception.
Bottom line: great for a quick, no-frills stopover, but not the most restful stay.
