Property Description
Penthouse 14 is an evocative place, an escape from the world, while remaining in the center, an intimate place, almost a caress. relaxing, elegant, minimal, instantly comfortable, with torque measurement. It's a nice way to treat yourself to a holiday or a weekend to discover Lecce following the itineraries suggested by the owner and then isolate themselves and enjoy the peace, on the roofs of the Baroque city. antique and modern design heart For those who love beauty and is guided by inspiration, Penthouse 14 is the right place and in the same enveloping bright and functional. A harmonious melting pot of sought after items that catch the eye, such as mirrors vintage, wooden houses, the iron birds, the fossil shells. The roof bleached wood dates back to the 40s, a laminated parquet floor in light tones. From the terrace you enter a living room with beautiful open kitchen, a white block shaped to fit with LED lights that create atmosphere. We gathered around a table with transparent chairs, a sofa with cushions in white fabric and a window with extensive views. A perfect environment to prepare yourself and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner comfortably. In the bedroom the same mood: white dominant and sophisticated simplicity, with pieces of yesteryear on the wall: bottles of the '900, old frames, an antique lock and blades of ceramic prickly pears. From the window you can enjoy a beautiful view over the roofs of the old Lecce. To the left of the bed you open the closet and on the right the spacious and bright bathroom, in white marble with gray streaks and a large shower. Romantic, fiery sunsets You touch the sky with a finger from this apartment set in the ancient "Suppinna" of a building of the '500, it restructured several times in past centuries, with a colonnade in front of the' 20s. It has a beautiful story behind it, that Emilia, the owner of Attico 14, tells with pleasure: it was a hat factory and in the 1930s it also hosted a hotel, the Continental. You climb a staircase, no lift up to the second floor, then a few more steps and you find yourself on the terrace. It is advisable to travel light or alert in time to arrange a porter service. You find yourself immersed in a "garden" well-kept with a view on the most beautiful monuments of Lecce: a lush green corner, with begonias, ferns, cyclamens and even an olive tree in a large pot, terracotta jars here and there and stones carved by the sculptor Lecce Nino Della Notte and students of his school. Under a gazebo of white cannucciato there is a table with iron chairs and comfortable armchairs to live in the open air every moment of the day from breakfast to the aperitif, to watch glowing sunsets or enjoy dinner by candlelight, in a ' cozy atmosphere, while the city with its lights and sounds live all around. Completely renovated and furnished with love, Penthouse 14 is an intimate place, perfect for the couple: a 45 square meter house that makes you feel protected and pampered. Dominated by white and attention to detail, antiques and lots of little treasures, the result of repeated investigations in craft shops, antique markets, junk shops and artist friends. All in a minimalist way, but with modern comforts: air conditioning, TV and Wi-Fi. A nest among the baroque roofs You are in center, in the heart of Lecce, surrounded by so much art and history, ready to discover its fascinating palaces and the many richly decorated churches, magnificent gardens and craft shops, such as papier mache, handed down the craft from generations. The landmarks are all there around Sant'Oronzo square dominated from the Roman Amphitheatre and the Cathedral, considered the living room of Lecce, with its bell tower. You can also be explored on foot, walking slowly, looking at every alley and square, ready to remain speechless in front of the Basilica of Santa Croce, a triumph of the Baroque. You can taste it in the many cafes, pubs and restaurants and experience the vibrant cultural life, including meetings with authors in original and interesting exhibitions libraries in places of great interest, such as the imposing Castle of Charles V, the MUST and Palazzo Vernazza. Or you can admire the city, just standing on the terrace in your attic a great view, overlooking the rooftops of the Baroque Lecce and offers you a picturesque view of the Church of Santa Chiara, just opposite. The light changes at different times of the day and the church which dates back to the '400, then restored in 1687, appears in all its beauty, from sunrise to sunset. The imposing facade with pilasters in the Corinthian style, emerges a magnificent portal with a coat of arms at the top of the Order Seraphic, surrounded by empty side kiosks, decorated with medallions. Among the many paintings there is the painting of St. Agnese, designed by Francesco Solimena.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed.
