Absolutely amazing, the staff couldn't do enough, they went above and beyond, recommend. The weather was bad, so chilled for the rest of the day. The next day was cold and fresh, but some lovely walks around the grounds.. great location......

Enjoyed a 3 day stay mid summer. Checkin was quick friendly and Katie on reception was so helpful with evey little query. The foyer is beautiful so comfortable classic large stone fireplace and beautiful furniture. The room was perfect and spotlessly clean. Stunning large bathroom with l'occitane toiletries in plentiful supply. We had a Juliet balcony it was great in the evenings to have the fresh air and views over the golf course. Used the SPA for treatments pure joy reasonable priced and the therapeutic range very satisfactory. The Therapist was lovely and very knowledgeable and professional. We had good in the bar one night it’s very busy so make a reservation especially for a crowd. Food good but portions on the fish on the small size for the price. Amazing walk around the outskirts of the golf course and we walked from the hotel to the club house where the staff were really welcoming and even offered us a lift back to the hotel. The views are stunning. Breakfast was excellent great choice hot buffet but I had omelettes or eggs Benedict to order instead which was no problem and arrived quickly. Great selection of herbal teas and juices. Staff at breakfast were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much to ask for. Beautiful place for a few days I’m really looking forward to a return trip ideal spot for a winter break as there is loads to do on site.

Pretty poor overall for a 5 star. We stayed as a couple for a quiet weekend away. It would have been more relaxing to stay at home. Staff are lovely, room was more like a good 3 star but it was comfortable. Very noisy with families playing games in the hallways until late. Absolute chaos with kids in the pool, it's very much a posh centerparcs. Long queue for breakfast, while kids hammered on the piano in the restaurant. Dinner was pretty good, great waiters, again just chaotic with kids. Bizarre experience and a waste of money for what we were expecting based on misleading website. Understandable that families need a place to go away too, but be up front about that on the website and don't sell it as a relaxing retreat. In short, seemed great for families, absolutely terrible idea for couples weekend. Should be 4 star realistically.

This hotel has a 5-star rating, unfortunately it’s more like a 5-star creche, if you are looking for a true 5-star hotel experience look elsewhere, this is a family hotel, it's set up for families and was full of young families, I found this quite surprising given that the hotel is located on a very good good golf course, and markets the golf aspect strongly. We were woken early morning by kids playing with a ball outside our room and running up and down the corridors, the lobby was full of families playing games, the pool and spa were more like centre parks than a 5-star hotel spa and pool also the fact the room rate is very much 5-star prices. We queued for 15 minutes to check-in; this was the start of many queues during our stay. The other issues were the restaurants, we had to wait in line for both breakfast and dinner, even with a reservation for dinner. The breakfast line took 25 minutes, when we finally got seated, there were many empty tables that had not been cleared, this really is not acceptable, the hotel needs to find a way to manage this better. This is not a 5-star hotel experience. The dinner at the Hugo restaurant was disappointing. The food was tasteless, the portions were small, and the meal was very expensive, also the bar area was very busy and the stated no children after 9pm was not adhered to. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and the room was nice, slightly dated but still comfortable, with a nice view of the golf course, the grounds and the public areas were also very nice, I would not recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a quiet, luxurious, hotel maybe after a round of golf, but if you have young children and you don’t mind paying high prices then this is perfect for you.

We travelled from Surrey with high expectations for Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, but unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of disappointing, and we certainly won’t be returning. Starting with the Glen golf course, the condition was shockingly poor for a venue that dares to market itself as premium. The welcome was non existent from a chap no more than 16 years old with little interest in his role. The tee boxes looked practically dead, clearly suffering from complete neglect. The greens were painfully slow, inconsistent, and lacked any of the pace or quality you'd expect from a top-level course. To make matters worse, many bunkers were unraked, and the course overall showed clear signs of poor maintenance and lack of care. For the green fee being charged, this is quite frankly a rip-off. The golf experience was not only disappointing, it was frustrating. The Heath course although a fraction of the cost was in slightly better condition but still not worthy of the fee charged. Again, welcomed by inexperienced staff and the buggy we were given on both days was filthy. We played Bray golf club on day 1 and this was a better experience at a lower cost than the two courses in this Resort. As for the hotel 7 clubhouses, the problems didn’t end at the course. Service was slow, inattentive, and disorganised, and the food was utterly tasteless. Bland, lacking freshness, and miles away from anything remotely close to fine dining. We genuinely questioned if the staff had any experience delivering what is supposedly a five-star experience. Let’s be clear: this is absolutely not a 5-star hotel, and it’s misleading to advertise it as such. From the golf course to the hotel service, the entire resort falls well below standard. Save your money and your time — there are far better places in Ireland (and abroad) where you’ll get the quality, hospitality, and care that Druids Glen severely lacks.

First we were forgotten about for our planned spa treatment. Secondly mix up with our booked dinner booking. Although we were given a refund as we had paid for dinner in restaurant and not a limited menu they offered us in garden room, we were left totally disappointed by having to repeat ourselves over and over to staff members.

The lobby and reception area of this hotel is beautiful the bedrooms are average and it is most definitely not a 5 star resort. This is a family hotel with children unsupervised in the bar area and running around the lobby and bedroom floor playing chasing and at one stage were playing football on the third floor in front of the elevator. The management need to realize that while they are catering to the families they need to also look at the requirements of other travellers in the hotel who are paying good money to be there. I don't have an issue with children been in the bar but it's a bit much when they are still there at 10.45pm resulting in us leaving the bar due to the noise of the children. Breakfast was chaotic on the Sunday morning, tables weren't cleaned properly and essential items missing from the table like cutlery, salt pepper , condiments. Breakfast item weren't restocked like yougurts and fresh pastries, staff running around trying to get things done but to avail. No glass for the juices No bowls for your cereal No spoons on tables Tea ,coffee and toast took 20mins to arrive. No one asked if we would like any of the made to order items on the menu. Eggs freezing cold .no honey for our pancakes or nuts . People constantly asking for items . Tables offered to you in the bar area for breakfast as they couldn't cope with the demand. Management really need to address this issue and put better procedures in place around breakfast time.

Druids Glen needs to stop advertising itself as a luxury 5 star resort. It is a family 4 star hotel. Staff & service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. Room & bedroom was average. Apartments as you drive up to the hotel feels like going through a housing estate. Sent to pool changing rooms to get ready for spa treatments, which were dirty wet, crowded and far too warm. No changing cubicles. Lumps of hair in shower cubicles and grime on edges of doors. Jacuzzi was grubby on edges. Lots of children running around the restaurant after 8pm. Sadly would not return. Feel bad about leaving this review but this was my experience.
