I booked Le Chateau du Max for an overnight stop for my family while travelling home through France. It is an absolute gem! The chateau is beautifully preserved, complete with its own moat and picturesque courtyard. We had a suite in the turret at a very reasonable price. It was spacious, comfortable and full of character. Dinner can be provided on prior request. There is no menu as such, but it was extremely reasonably priced and cam with wine. The food was freshly cooked and local. Breakfast was part of the room rate and there was a wide spread of breads, jams, croissants, cheeses etc. All in all, highly recommended if you need a place to stay in the area.
