This hotel in Avignon offers a great location, with a short 10-minute drive to the city center. The availability of free parking is a convenient perk. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. Although the rooms are located on the second floor, the hotel staff is helpful and assists with luggage. The highlight is the amazing breakfast served in the garden, where guests can enjoy fresh orange juice from an automatic machine. The hotel also features a spa with a pool, whirlpool, steam room, and sauna that are open until late, allowing guests to relax and unwind.

The five-star resort hotel in the middle of the countryside has a modest appearance, but it feels very cozy. For Chinese tourists, it is a bit inconvenient that the room is not equipped with daily necessities such as toothbrushes, but you can ask for them at the front desk.

We booked this hotel for 1 night on a road trip from Paris to Monaco. I could have spent a week here. The grounds are amazing. It reminded me of the resort hotels in Cuernavaca Mexico. The rooms surrounded a courtyard area that was full of trees, flowers, shrubs, outdoor tables for breakfast, and outdoor games. It was an extremely relaxing atmosphere. The room was great. Large room, king bed, furnishings fit for a king. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower. Two sinks, large vanity. As a Hilton Platinum member we received free breakfast which included breakfast brought to the room. However, you had more options if you went to the restaurant for breakfast (i.e. extra charge with room service for eggs - free at the restaurant). The negative - the front desk really pushed the restaurant which is a Michelin restaurant. So, very expensive. Every time we asked about nearby restaurants we were told we should eat on site. Luckily we had a car and went to a local 'taco' shop. If you don't have a car, Uber Eats has several options. Also, it isn't in the best area. We were a little nervous driving in. But, once you arrive, you drive in through a walled property and it is very nice. They have a bellman who will help you with your luggage. Particularly helpful if you are on the second floor. All in all, this place was amazing. Especially if you are looking for a week of R&R.

My niece and I spent two nights at this lovely hotel.. We stayed in the main house in a large very comfortable room. The bathroom was very modern and the bed and room quite comfortable. The grounds are lovely and our facials at the spa were very good. However, the location in an industrial area about 15 minutes from Avignon is not that good. We felt a bit captive as we did not have a car. As a result we were only able to eat our evening meals in the high end restaurant at the hotel. And that is where we did not have a good experience. The food is expensive but very good. However, our service was not good. The first night it was just okay and our dinner with wine took a long time with slow uneven attention. But with no where to go, it was not a problem. On the second night we were made to feel very uncomfortable. We had been given a bottle of wine by our private guided tour company and we brought it to our dinner as it was our last night in France. The maitre d' acted as if we had committed a terrible sin. From that point on we were completely ignored. He did not give us menus --- we had to ask a server for them after 20 minutes. We had to ask for the amuse bouche that everyone else was getting and it continued on for the rest of a long dinner. The only staff member who was gracious was the sommlier who helped with our wine and brought us a cooler for the table. In looking around the dining room others were getting good service but they were couples or families with men in them. We don't know if the problem was that we brought our own wine, we were two women or that we were Americans but we were very disappointed as we had wanted our last dinner to be a nice occasion. When I mentioned our disappointment at check out they were very nice and apologetic but we still did not have a good experience with our meal. It is unfortunate as the hotel itself is quite nice if a bit "snobinard".

What a gem this place is. My husband and I are still gushing over how lovely it was. The pictures and description on the website are so glowing, I honestly braced myself to not be disappointed (as that has happened before). From the moment we walked in the lobby, til the moment we left, I felt like we were in paradise. Our room was beautiful, even lovelier in person. The private terrace was so peaceful, after we left, we somewhat regretted not staying a few extra days and doing nothing. The food is excellent too. I didn’t have time to try out the spa. Le Pontet is about 15 minutes drive by Uber to Avignon. We found this very easy. The hotel also has parking if you’d rather rent a car. I think it’s the perfect way to be close to the action and enjoy some quiet time. You won’t be disappointed.

The hotel itself is reasonably ok but it is in a poor location in Le Pontet a suburb and is a 15-minute taxi ride from the center of Avignon. Our room was on the whole good. it was a reasonable size and had a little courtyard. If you want to eat somewhere other than the hotel restaurants which are expensive, there is very little scope apart from Napoli Pizza which is very good and about a 5-minute walk – See separate review. Also, no bar soap in the bathroom or shower which seems to be a hotel trend that I find very irritating.

We spent two nights as part of a Secret Escapes deal. We stayed in room 25 which is a park room on the ground floor with a pretty terrace overlooking the interior garden. It looked and felt like a mini villa. Very spacious. Large king size bed. External and internal table and seating. Dressing table, fridge, tea coffee facilities and safe. Loads of storage and large bathroom with shower. Pool area was also very nice as well and opens early so you can swim before breakfast. Also heated. Great selection at breakfast too where you can eat on the terrace as well. The hotel is next to a primary school so during the day during term time you can hear the kids playing. It did not disturb us at all, it sounded like they were having a great time! Great hotel and would recommend.

The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from Avignon and is approached through a commercial area but once inside is an absolute tranquil haven. There is ample parking and staff were quick and helpful at check in. The rooms are layed out around a courtyard and pool. They are beautifully appointed and comfortable with seating outside and ours was 2 steps from a peaceful pool. Dinner was served outside and was an exquisite set menu with an extensive wine list.

If you want to walk around the old town of Avignon after dinner, this is not your spot. If you want to be 15 minutes away in a quiet spot with beautiful landscaping, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, and access to five star dining, you should consider this spot.

My wife and I took a road trip to France and this is one of the best places we stayed. The staff were very friendly unreceptive on checking in. The rooms were so clean and beautiful Location between gardens. The food breakfast and dinner were excellent selections .

Moved from Aix-En to this property in La Pontet, outside Avignon. The hosts made us feel very welcome on arrival and the owner was always extremely friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the staff especially Thomas and Helena were fantastic. This property is probably due for a major facelift, the pool area had weeds growing everywhere. the gardening staff need to lift their game bigtime, the biggest downside is you are a 30 Euro taxi ride away from the village, so everytime you go and come back you are 60 Euro lighter, why they don't run a shuttle is bewildering. We ate at the restaurant the food was fantastic, expensive but very nice. They don't have a bar you can sit in the afternoon, which is also a downside for me. Breakfast was ok As i said i would only rate this property 4 star. Thanks Gavin

This is a nice hotel but overrated. Rooms could use some updating. The have a fancy chef in the restaurant and also a spa so seem to rely on these things for bonus points. Its kind in the middle of nowhere right next door to a school and housing development. Nothing to do within walking distance. The city of Avignon is a $35 Uber ride.
Response from Property: Dear Guests, Thank you for choosing our Hotel to stay in Avignon. We have taken note of your opinion published on the Tripadvisor site and we are disappointed that you did not leave fully satisfied with our Hotel. We offer different types of rooms, each with their own particularities in terms of equipment and decoration in order to best meet the different expectations of our customers. If you wish to return to the Auberge de Cassagne, do not hesitate to call us to reserve the room that suits you best in terms of decoration. The most economical solution (1.40 €) is the direct bus from the center of Pontet (we accompany customers), and we are 15 minutes from the ramparts of Avignon. We work daily with taxi companies which can circulate in the bus lanes and reach Avignon very quickly for an amount between 24 and 30 € We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again in the near future. Sincerely yours. Sylvie et Philippe BOUCHER

We loved the garden, very well maintained, however we did not like the decoration of our room, too busy, not really charming, however the staff had been very good, always smiling and always wanting to help us, the breakfast was varied, sweet and savory, lots of choice and quality
