A beautiful place BUT they need handrails!!! We stayed in room 31- nice room (wish we could see the water through the trees). Serious steps, straight down- 2 flights. No ADA here- handrails a necessity. We booked last minute, so not options. I don’t think they realize what a hazard the steps can be for folks- for all, please invest in hand rails!

It’s worth the bumpy ride to come here. This place is amazing. The view is stunning and the ocean breezes are instantly present anywhere on the hilltop location. The property is beautifully and painstakingly maintained — particularly hard to find in Martinique. Many places show photo enhanced pictures - not the case here. The gastronomic prix fixe menu is fabulous and was repeatedly (x4) a success. Wine choices, thought limited, are all very good (it’s France after all!). Even the breakfast verges on the gastronomic with local fruit and hooves made from local produce. We were supposed to stay for three nights and we ended up staying for seven. Maybe that says it all.

Beautiful hotel on a hill overlooking the bay. Restaurant setting and gardens are excellent and a great place to relax. negatives, one would be the bathroom which was looking tired and very little water pressure in the shower and there isn’t any parking that doesn’t require going up a very steep incline with the cases! There is one handicapped parking space close to the reception though

Great place to start our postponed vacation after the COVID Pandamic. We had high expectations but were very impressed with the hospitality and layout of Plein Soleil! We had our own private pool - which was very welcome after a long trip. We decided to have dinner at the restaurant 2 nights and were both times very satisfied with the food, the wine and the service.

There are days with and days without. We arrived in a hotel that has no 4 star standing. Poor quality of service. Mediocre master pool. Hotel not maintained. A very uncomfortable stay, a negative experience that I had never experienced before in a so-called 4-star hotel. We had ordered room service, we had to follow up with them not seeing anything as they had "forgotten". The only non-negative point was the hotel restaurant which offered decent dishes. A more than disastrous experience that will not be repeated.

With my partner, we had opted for the master pool room at 255€ per night (in low season). We expected to find the standard of a 4 star but we were extremely disappointed. The Hotel Plein Soleil is a mediocre 4 star. Here are the reasons: - access to the hotel by a road in poor condition with many potholes - a dirty room: dust not made, air conditioning not maintained (mushrooms), sink with toothpaste, towels... - a very small bathroom with a shower which is just as small - swimming pool not cleaned: piles of leaves at the bottom and on the surface - invasion of mosquitoes by the shutters which are perforated and do not close completely. We spent the night tapping mosquitoes. - unmaintained gardens The positive points to remember: the service and the dishes in the restaurant - the bedding and the large surface area of the master pool (especially the exteriors) We will not be returning and we advise you to think twice before paying a such a sum for services that are not worth it.
