Hotel Alla Grotta

The hotel's location, right in the center; almost on the main square and in front of the old port is certainly a plus. Our room was large, with the possibility of opening a third bed. The air conditioning worked well enough. The bathroom was the weak point, frankly uncomfortable even though it had the necessary (shower gel, shampoo, etc.): small, without a bidet, 60x60 shower (narrow, in short) protected by a curtain that did not prevent the floor from flooding even if you were careful. Fortunately, the kind ladies who took care of cleaning did it properly: they dried, cleaned well and even left a few extra shower mats. It should be noted that there is no elevator; our room was on the second floor (there is also a third, I think) and I had to struggle a bit to carry up a rather heavy suitcase. It's understandable, the building is old; and maybe some of the staff would also be available to help; but, indeed, it would be better to point it out. We had intended to try the restaurant, but we didn't find the time

Das Restaurant liegt wunderschön idyllisch am alten Hafen. Die Speisekarte ist vielversprechend und was dann in der Küche gezaubert wird, hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir hatten Pasta, deren Komponenten sehr fein aufeinander abgestimmt waren. Die Anrichtung sehr ästhetisch. Ein Genuss! Einziger Kritikpunkt. Man scheint ob der zahlreichen deutschen Gäste wohl etwas „satt“ zu sein. Die Kellner wirkten auf uns arrogant. Während Stammgäste mit viel Tamtam bedient wurden, wurden wir links liegen gelassen. Das ist schade; denn wir hätten ab Morgen die nächsten Stammgäste sein können.
