"I had the best time staying at mad monkey siquijor. Nelson was amazing and took the time to know everyone's name and treated everyone like a true friend. Definitely give this man a raise! He was a whole vibe! The facilities are cleaned daily and all of the staff is helpful making recommendations or helping to arrange transport. Rooms were very spacious with hot water, AC, and privacy curtains. Highly recommend if you're on the island. Shout out to Pablo the accountant too he and all of the staff make this place so special! Thanks again for everything!"
"A very nice place to stay at! Super friendly and helpful owner and staff. Great menu with a wide variety and very tasty food. A bit remote as it is the most southern resort on Siquijor, and not all tricycle drivers want to drive there, but we still managed and we enjoyed every minute of our 10 day stay. If the resort had had a soft sandy beach, it would have been perfect, but the snorkelling and the beautiful pool made up for it 100%. Wow! A great experience overall! "
"This place had a very nice vibe! The staff was so polite and excellent. I saw many returning guests that had traveled to other islands and always came back to stay there. It was very close to one of the best waterfalls on the island. A 10 minute walk or you could rent a scooter and drive for 3 minutes. There was also many restaurants nearby but the staff also cooked breakfast. I would definitely return!!"
"Stayed at the Villa (5 nights) with a friend! A very nice and quiet place, if you have adequate neighbors (before leaving, a group of noisy Chinese checked in, who were swimming in the pool at 2 am and laughing loudly) 🤦🏻♀️, so much so that we even had to go out and ask them to calm down!!! We even wrote a note to the admin, and in the morning we received an apology and an offer of compensation for the ”night rendezvous”!
Overall, everything was great: attentive and responsive staff, beautiful and well-kept territory, the only downside is the restaurant menu (many items were missing, but the cooks 🧑🍳 met us halfway every time and this is a big plus ➕)
Every morning, fresh and delicious pastries were brought to the guests' room!"

"This resort is far away from the main area and there’s nothing really around the resort. In itself that is something I’d prefer, but the lack of access to things outside is something they seem to take advantage of. Beautiful location with problems occurring whenever you need help from staff members.
Never in my life have I been at a hotel which tried to charge me for water, the thing we need to survive as humans. We asked the hotel if they could order us a tuktuk fto get to dinner as I wanted to drink so I didn’t want to take our scooter. They said no problem. 2.5 hours later we are assured for the 5th time, “just another 15 minutes”. By the time we are it was 10 pm but the hotel offered no apology, the manager of the hotel just told us that this is Philippine culture, which we needed to understand. How patronising. We weren’t told on check in you need to actually ask for your room to be cleaned and when I did ask my towels were taken away and no replacements were given. It seems there is a lack of any communication between the staff.
On the positives the sunset is amazing and the food there is good too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The whole place is totally let down by bad management and a reluctance to give anything for free. Even the basics. A promising place, but they fall down badly on the basics and for that reason I wouldn’t recommend it"
"My stay here was okay. They need more staffing instead of just the one person they keep at the desk. Someone left my window open so I spent the night eaten up by mosquitoes. Was kind of clean but a random speedo or woman's bikini bottom was left in my room. Staff didn't come to take away dishes from the room or to otherwise provide upkeep. Staff is friendly but not very helpful, often unable to answer questions I asked. Breakfast was over priced for what it was so I wasn't tempted to order any other food. Great view from the pool though. The sliding doors are extremely heavy and difficult to open and close. It's an okay resort but for the price you'll likely find better. Thanks."
"I am a budget traveler but really tried staying at Coco Grove for the experience and it did not disappoint. Worth every penny, the food was so so so good, the staff were kind and approachable, amenities are the best most especially the complimentary snorkel at Tubod Marine Sanctuary, and the facility as a whole is soo beautiful. Will definitely comeback."
