Mercure Telford Centre Hotel Reviews

Excellent hotel, great location ,staff are very helpful and friendly. Lots of extras included in the price, Swimming Pool , Sauna, Hot tub, gym and many many more. Food very nice. Would definitely highly recommend and would stay again. Also dog friendly.

We stayed for 3 nights in a Privilege King Room. The room was a good size. The bed was very comfy; the duvet was slightly too warm. The TV was an impressive size. Wi-fi could be a lot better. The shower had good water pressure. The room came with empty bottles of conditioner and body lotion. We didn't use the swimming pool facilities, but they looked impressive. The bar was reasonably priced; 2 bottles of Rekorderlig for £8, cheaper than our local. Staff could do with a major attitude change. We mentioned to reception that we were missing items from the bathroom (conditioner and body lotion), and the receptionist told us that they would bring some up. They still didn't bring this, so we mentioned it again later on. We were advised that they had spoken with housekeeping, who had advised that they had refilled the bottles, which they hadn't. We ordered housekeeping for the following day, but they came late and were extremely rude. They didn't do much of what was needed. The floor wasn't hoovered, and the tea, coffee, and sugar were just thrown on the tray next to the kettle. The fire alarm went off early in the morning, and we were not advised of the alarm being tested. We were extremely unhappy about this, as it woke us up.

Room Was not up to standard. Reception team got this swiftly sorted and arranged a free upgrade for the inconvenience. Friendly and helpful staff. Would return again.

Clean room, good service at breakfast, good breakfast choice and is served in a nice decent restaurant. Decent lounge area and good amenities with gym and warm pool.

The location is good and the room is clean, good as a business hotel for a few days

Super close to the train station. The breakfast at the hotel is average, the dinner portions are relatively small, and the bar has good reviews. The room is relatively small, the heating and air conditioning are not working, and the front desk's attitude is very good.

the rooms are fine, shower in bathroom allow for horizonital showering and makes bathroom like a wet room, second stay here, back of the hotel is effected by noise from neighbour property and the front by road noise, due to single glazing, due to single glazing

Hotel is very well presented and staffed. Main entrance was clean and so was surrounding bar lounge area. Was not advised of any parking fees when booking nor givenan option for free parking area. Rooms were well equiped and of decent size, bathroom and windows had mould build up around them, (extractor fan could be ideal) but other wise clean. Swimming pool was out of action but still had use of hot tub, sauna and steam room. Very nice at end of long day. Pool tables was good but could be positioned in a better area so that all round access is possible. Staff were friendly and polite.

Rooms overbooked, no room available for me and my husband after travelling for over 4 hours. No call prior to our arrival to explain this. Extremely slow and disappointing level of problem solving skills in terms of sorting us out with the basics - a room to sleep in. Staff seemed disinterested, lacked passion and desire for good customer service. Travel a lot with work - will not be returning to this hotel.

Room either too hot or too cold. Toilet making a strange noise whole time. Room was right by corridor doors which caused room door to shake every time that slammed shut. Air con generators on roof outside window loud all night. All in all really bad sleep for a superior room.

Although the staff stated that parking was mentioned on the third party site, we were not aware that we would have to pay £10 for parking on top of the hotel fee. It was really noisy as our room was over the roof with lots of fans. We could hear when someone closed their door. Had we known about parking we would not have booked. Other than that, it was an ok stay.

Slept in a ground floor room. Didn’t hear any noise from the hotel and slept so well on both nights we stayed there. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Room was quite warm so we needed to have the window open as there’s no other means of temperature control. The shower is really powerful, so much so that it does get the rest of the bathroom a bit wet!

Very clean, comfy bed and the pool etc were lovely. Extremely friendly staff. Only downside- far too much chlorine in the pool and jacuzzi the first night to the point it was stinging our eyes and lots of people were complaining. Rectified by the next morning.
