We didn't book in advance so I think the price was good. We spoke very little French and the reception staff were very helpful and patient as we tried to explain that we wanted a room for the night. The room was very airy, newly decorated and perfectly clean everywhere. Overnight parking outside was free overnight. River and restaurants nearby so good location for a one night stay.

From Laval this Sunday, September 24, I booked this hotel Campanile Laval north, well took me, well located, quiet neighborhood, easy access, large parking, welcome staff, very beautiful functional room, litree XL, It's the first time I tested a new-look Campanile, it's completely disagreed. More restaurant, but a possibility of small restaurant-snacking on site anyway, in contrast to a partnership with a beautiful brewery-restaurant ”L'Envol” at 5 minutes by car and less 10% on the addition (apprezzable). Despite a convenient welcome the hotel is very old. convenient breakfast. Clean lingerie but sal and poorly maintained building. Water from the shower very tight for everyone .... Shower room, a shower wall would be welcome. Equivalent to formula 1 that we had before.

Environnement immédiat peu agréable (ZI). Aspect extérieur vétuste. On se croirait sur une aire d'autoroute. Hôtel éloigné de tout. La première impression est donc peu engageante...et se confirme rapidement. Accueil désagréable et prise de l'empreinte de ma carte une seconde fois alors que j'ai utilisé la procédure ”fast check-in” qui m'a été confirmée par le message suivant: .”Votre demande d'autorisation de XXX EUR est bien prise en compte par votre banque.”. Face à mon étonnement la réponse de l'hôtesse fut ”c'est au cas ou vous détérioriez la chambre!”; Quel culot! Ca fait au moins 20 ans que je suis membre Silver ou Gold chez Accor sans le moindre incident. SVP Accor mettez un peu d'ordre dans cet hôtel ou dans vos procédures! Chambre spartiate et minimaliste même pour une nuit à moins de 100€. Il manque tout (même pour le niveau Ibis). La clim ne fonctionne pas (heureusement il faisait encore frais) et surtout le lit presque bancal (ou vraisemblablement mal calé ou bricolé) craque et grince au moindre mouvement. Donc très mauvaise nuit. C'est inadmissible même pour un hôtel bon marché. Petit déjeuner piteux. Tables pas nettoyées donc plus de place en salle. Tout manque. Mauvais café. Personnel peu réactif et mal aimable. Des ”excuses” toutes faites du style ”il y avait un groupe juste avant” (et alors nous payions aussi le petit-déjeuner!) en réponse aux demandes des clients (dont certains arrivés après nous étaient exaspérés à juste titre et très agressifs face à ces incompétences flagrantes). Aller pour être positif, chambre plutôt calme malgré la rocade toute proche (c'était le week-end peut-être est-ce différent en semaine). Barman du soir sympa. Propreté de la chambre (mais c'est du domaine du normal), probablement rénovée il y a peu. En résumé si vous passez par Laval, hôtel à éviter. Pour notre part nous n'y remettrons plus les pieds. Nous retournerons à l'hôtel Ibis Gare au centre ville dont nous gardons un excellent souvenir.
