Before I start my review of this hotel I want to state that most of the conversations I had with staff members where done in French as I am a francophone from Montreal. We stayed at the Quality Inn Laval for 4 nights in January. We were in Montreal for a funeral. When we arrived the gentleman at the desk was very nice and quick in getting us registered. We requested a couple of extra large towels as there was only 2 of them. He was very kind and delivered them to our room very fast. That is where the good ended. Our rooms carpet was not laying flat and could potentially cause a person to trip on it, we also had to most uncomfortable couch I ever sat on. ( pull out couch). That was the only place for us to sit other then a business chair that was beside the desk. My husband was not feeling very well on our first full day, so he put the do not disturb sign on the door while he slept, we did not expect our room to be cleaned or made up and that was fine. The next day I told a chambermaid that we would be leaving for the day and if she could do the room, she replied that it had nothing to do with her. I really thought she would let our chambermaid know that we where gone out. When we came back to the hotel around 6 pm, we entered our room to find that nothing had been done, he/she had not even taken the garbage out of our room. I went to the front desk and told the gentlemen; the same one that was there when we arrived 2 days earlier; all he said is I will leave a message. What good is that going to do for us. We want someone to come and get the garbage. When we signed our on our last day, I again complained to the another gentlemen at the desk and told them about our unpleasant experience and expected a discount for our problems, we where told he could not do anything but told us to call the manager the next day, I told him that I expected the manager to call me the next day. My husband told him that we would write a very negative review and was told ”whatever”. We have stayed at many Choice hotels and have never been treated so poorly by staff members. We stay at the Quality Inn Dorval all the time and really enjoy that hotel, we will never stay or recommend the Quality Laval. To this day we have not received a phone call from the manager.

Love the whole place. Very clean and well decorated. Can tell it was newly renovated. Only tiniest of tiny issues was when they did our room the floor was unlevel and the door scraped the floor leaving marks on the floor.

The good: room was clean, parking was free, steps away from a shopping mall with a great selection of shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly. The bad: as much as I wanted to like it, this is not up on the Sheraton standard. My first night was on the 4th floor next to the highway, the sound insulation was terrible, together with the noise from the old school air condition unit under the window (you know what I am talking about, you've seen them at model 6), I didn't sleep at all. I called at night to complain, they fully booked, so the front desk promised me to move me to a room away from the high way the next day. To their credit, they did note it down and gave me a room on the same floor, maybe 10 rooms down the hall although I had to nag a few times to get the keys to the new room. The noise from high way was better. The next day, we were away from our room for 10 hours, only to return to a room without being cleaned (no, I didn't hang the privacy please sign). I asked for clean towels only since it was already late, again, to their credit, the towels were delivered promptly. There is a Hilton across the street, and a Holiday Inn. I hate to say it being a Bonvoy member, but I may want to try those next time I am in town.

Temporarily booked room, get confirmation soon. The location is very convenient, opposite the largest shopping plaza nearby. The front desk service was very attentive and the room was clean and tidy. Will stay again next time.

Vais commencer par parler de vous fr.trip.comil a eu erreur il a eu. 2 réservation meme chambre meme date erreur le cite eu ou cliker erreur date a demain la chambre de plus jai voulu faire coriger On me répons un nonil a fallu je parle a 3 personne on fini par me dire on ses arranger avec la réception sa va se régler je va a aceuil du motel il me répons non il peux rien et vous fr.trip.com ses vous qui est responsable je parle français seulement peux pas apeller donc sur sa en vacance on me vol 80 $ jatend toujours apres et pu nouvelle non service jai dormi plus que 30 jours a cette motel et je sais pas qui est responsable sa lance la balle I'm going to start by talking about you en.trip.com he got a mistake he got. 2 reservations same room same date error the quote had or clicker error date see you tomorrow the room moreover I wanted to have it corrected They answer me with a no I had to talk to 3 people they ended up telling me we're arranging with the reception it's going to be settle I go to the motel reception he answers me no he can't do anything and you fr.trip.com it's you who is responsible I only speak French can't call so on his vacation they steal $ 80 from me I always wait after and could not hear from me service I slept more than 30 days at this motel and I don't know who is responsible for throwing the ball
