Best Hotels near Tomuka Settlement, Lautoka

Staff super genuinely kind, friendly and interested in our stay being the best. Delicious food at the restaurant at reasonable prices, fantastic service. Main pool big and well appointed with seating and shade. Kayaks available. Superb sunsets each night on the landing. Very historic location. Check out at 10 am was too early.

We had a great stay. Staff was friendly and accomodating to our needs including carrying out heavy luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. They even allowed our visitors in which I find very rare. They also carried our food up to our balcony which was great. We had the Sunset suite at the very top - awesome view! Our room was nice and clean, super nice air con in the room and lounge area. Really nice kitchen area with a massive new fridge. Very convenient with the supermarket up the road and beachfront to chill. The ocean was sooo nice and hot to swim in. Downfall: Some of the levels smell like damp, wet carpet and was really bad . Some of our dishes were so dirty and their were cockroaches in the toaster, microwave and jug. Would be great to have a volley ball net on the beach and some activities on offer for guests such as horse riding & snorkelling etc. Also some entertainment would be great as the music next door was the only entertainment we got but sometimes it was far too loud that we couldn’t sleep. There was no fire show or kava ceremony and we were looking forward to that! The food at the ghost ship bar was really good especially the pizza and curry dishes! Be good if reception could help guests find the best taxi prices as some Of the locals that stand on the road really take advantage of travellers and charge you the world. We did have a great stay in the end! I would recommend this if you want to stay near town, the airport and want to experience outside of Denarau. Denarau did get boring for me sometimes so I liked this experience this time around.

Overall a poor experience. Customer service. Most of the staff are nice and friendly and have the bula spirit, however our stay was tainted by some unfriendly staff at the main restaurant by the pool, which some of the staff don’t want to help providing baby chair and just forgot about the requests after all. The restaurant staff just simply looks very unhappy or tired for some reasons. We have met some very friendly face and lovely staff, but it was unfortunate the restaurant customer service is consistently horrible. Front desk staff shows don’t show the same level of hospitality as to other hotels we stay in Fiji. Room: It’s showing it’s aged but the view is fantastic and room is well equipped and spacious, it suits well for family with a plan to cook. We notified the staff that two of the pendant lights aren’t working on day one. Yet nothing is fixed until check out. Food: We try buffet breakfast and dinners at the main restaurant and also take away from the red Buddha restaurant. Breakfast is pretty standard and average considering it’s Hilton, we stay at many Hilton hotels before, the food is one of the worst experience we had, in particular the buffet dinner, choices are very limited, it’s pretty much just a corner of food , pretty subpar comparing to Sofitel or Sheraton. Overall. With similar price it is hard to recommend this hotel to family especially with kids, the staff seems to have too much trouble to handle the demand of young kids and didn’t stand up to the great Hilton branding which is a bit of a shame. Rooms got beautiful view, foods aren’t great. The only bright spot would be the spacious hotel room.

Run down hotel and very poor service. While the room was clean, the service and facilities were very poor. The images on the web site must be from years ago, because now the place is very run down. At best this is now a one star motel. There is no lift, so if stairs are a problem don't get a room on the upstairs floor. There is no wifi, nor is there free airport transportation. When we arrived the remote control we were given for the air conditioner didn't work, after two requests (and more than an hour) this was fixed. When room service took away our dirty towels they advised they would be back with fresh ones, after a two hour wait I went to reception and got them myself. There was only one plug next to the double bed. The bedside clock didn't work. The bathroom was very run down, the shower door wouldn't close. The whole room is in need of repainting. There was a restaurant, but when we enquired (at 6PM) we were told it had already closed. (In our three night stay I saw two people dining there, once, for breakfast). The poolside bar looked like it hadn't been used for years. The poolside spa was broken. This is our third visit to Nadi, and this hotel rates bottom, way behind the Nalagi and the Mercure (both on the same street and both cheaper).

The overall service is very good. The brand new hotel has just opened a week ago. Although not all restaurants are open, the service is great. Breakfast is a continental buffet. Eggs Benedict is good. During the day we went shopping downtown and ordered a pick-up service from the hotel's tour manager. The tour guides Vicky (day 1) and Sam (day 2) both did a great job not only picking us up from point to point but showing us around the city and giving us great tips while we were shopping. Even though we were a little late, they waited patiently for us. Overall, the stay at the Crowne Plaza, I would say, was not up to five star standards as not all restaurants were open. However, I would give them six stars for their service and sense of service. Looking forward to visiting again. Brand new hotel just opened for a week , though not all the restaurants are opened, the service is great. Breakfast is continental breakfast with buffet. The egg Benedict is good. During the day we go out to the city center to do some shopping n ordered the pickup service from the hotel tour managers. The guide Vicky (Day1) and Sam (Day2) both did a great job not just pick us up from point to point but also showing us around the city and give great advice when we r doing our shopping. They waited for us patiently even though we were running a little bit late. Overall the stay in Crowne Plaza I would say the hardware wasn't up to a 5 stars level yet due to not all the restaurants are opened. However, their service and the sense of servicing I would give a 6 stars to them. Looking forward to visit again.

Usaia is the best employee here. His unbelievable service made my honeymoon perfect and fantastic. He recommended and taught me lots of information here in Sheraton and Fiji. Actually, we were only one Asian couple, so everything was too new for us, but bying talking with Usaia, he made us feel relaxed and better. I highly recommend Sheraton because of Usaia and his service. Thank you, Usaia. Let’s start with that this was a last minute booking as there was no other 7 point or above guest rated accommodation available in Nadi and this is in comparison to many other hotel/resorts that I have stayed-in in the past. Location - It is literally in the middle of no where by Fiji standards. In the middle of Nadi and Lautoka town so take a pick on which direction you want to travel about 25min by car. Hard to find taxi’s as there isn’t a dedicated taxi stand. You will have to call one in for yourself. Resort - Don’t expect a typical big Hotel/Resort style reception. The reception area is a small office at the back of a home opposite the restaurant, like a home office. Room - Room was decent size, clean at a quick glance but not clean enough if want to be critical for the amount you pay for the room. Dusty bits in corners, some places in the shower and toilet area had black spots (didn’t want to find out what it was) especially on the walls, shower track was dirty and tiled floors and walls just needs a good clean. The room was adjoining style with a door separating the two rooms and that was just not enough to keep the conversation next door out of my room. Can’t say the walls were thin as it’s all concrete. The King size bed was of a better quality. I found it weird that it had a flat sheet on top and the doona was initially just thrown in the cupboard. Usually it is fitted with the flat sheet. We used the doona the first day and then there after it was neatly folded away in the cupboard. Didn’t want to find out if the doona covers were changed or not. If you are looking for a place with sandy beach and to swim in the ocean then this may not be it. There is a small beach area (if you can call it that) between mangrove and rocks. You will get a tan but that’s about it. The deal came with breakfast but 1 day of breaky was enough. The selection was minimal and very basic and honestly not worth getting up for. It’s a different case if you don’t have wheels to explore other places. Wifi is not reliable at all and is as slow as it can be. Basic functions are ok in but wanting to stream movies, then forget it. And you will be lucky to get a ok connection in parts of the room. I just believe that tourism in Fiji has just boomed and due to high turnover, there is not enough time to get a thorough clean and maintain in the turn time. This may not be true for main stream or bigger hotel chains where more staff are employed a standard is to be maintained but certainly for the smaller hotel/resorts, it certainly seems to be the case. My verdict - Would I book again if I had a choice, then NO. Would I book again if I had to, then yes as it’s decent but still not worth the prices I have seen online for the establishment. Kudos to staff for going out of their way to make things happen to the best of their ability.

This resort is excellent. We spent the majority of our time at the Adult Only pool. Mela is the best bar tender. She remembered our names after first meeting us. She also makes the best drinks, always with her beautiful smile. This resort has many activities throughout the day for families. Nice restaurant and you can order room service.
