Lausanne Hotels with Wi-Fi

MOVENPICK HOTEL is a chain hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne. The hotel rooms are well-equipped, with glass bottled water, capsule coffee machine, six capsule coffee, slippers, and chocolate 🍫. The breakfast is very rich, you can also drink morning tea and eat instant noodles. At the door is a sailboat base. The scenery is very beautiful. People who love sports can run in the morning, get on a bicycle, and run on a natural track. Very good sports environment.

Fantastic hotel with professional and very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious. The Skylounge has an amazing view. The SPA area and the pool are beautiful and the pool is big enough for good swimming.

This was a very surprising experience because ALL of the other hotels we have been were so clean and great in every way. Switzerland is a very clean country even the railway stations are clean not to mention the train carriages and all the other hotels we have seen, and on this trip we visited by now 7 other similar category ones all spotless. So if I wanted to be kind I would say it’s all run down and the owner has a terminal disease whereby he would not care for the property anymore.., but if I want to be realistic it was downright dirty and disgusting. The room was large with old style furniture probably furnished twenty years ago and never cleaned the upholstery. There were dark spots on the little sofa and chairs most likely from someone’s shoes. The wall paper was all faded and also dirty. There was a note on the night stand to say they only change the linen every three days due to being “greens” so when I checked a pillow and seen a huge dark stain poking out from under the sham we just did not use that.. next to the bed there was a sticky spot on the blue carpet and in a good case scenario it must have been hair gel..(?) whatever it was they just ignored it. The shutters on the windows were half way broken off their rails.. the wood of the furniture was so scuffed I could not tell if it was a dark or a light stain originally ( ?!!) It is a 4 star hotel?!)? OMG And in Switzerland where even the WC / toilet is sanitary and clean.. I have to make a distinction though, the junior stuff was extremely nice and helpful at the reception and a test it is the fault of the manager or owner or both, not the employees. They were very great. The manager ( who seemed like the boss ) was giving them all instructions when we got in the door and proceeded to tell us that our accommodations are ready and since it’s a mini suite it will be phenomenal. The location is amazing right across the station so it suited us. And other then the horrible grunginess and dirty conditions it would have been fine. The bathroom was fine but the room really made me write this bad review. It is a shame to have a hotel saying they have four star rating and not clean up their act ( in this case literally). Mitzi

Starling did most things that you would expect from a business hotel quite well. An added bonus for me travelling with family was that they allow pets, which is why I chose to stay here. On the negative side, I would expect given the prices charged that little ”extras” like a fridge and coffee machine in the room and a microwave oven available for public use would come as part of the package, but sadly no.

The staff was very nice, everything was uncomplicated. The atmosphere in the (one-single) room was actually as in jail. Naked wash-beton (surely so wanted by the architect), the simplest room equipment, but: bed was ok. The room was clean, but renovation would be necessary. Color blades from etc. Breakfast was inclusive, simply with Mensa-Atmo, no special highlight, bread instead of breads - but prima espresso and orange juice. Concluded: not very bad, but also not very good. Clearly: this is a youth hostel and not a hotel. But: for the price (＜ 100,- chf/night) the performance is not true.

It looks like a small castle, the interior decoration is very modern and the layout is very reasonable. Originally wanted to book the Mei'an Palace, because the price was too high to give up, to a look, and the US shore is very close, the same lake view, not bad, worth. The service staff is very welcoming and the check-in is very detailed. The only downside is that it is a little smaller, but the Swiss room is really small.

Good location very close to the railway station, restaurants etc and a short hop on the metro either downhill to the lake or uphill to the centre of town. One of the nice check in 'gifts' was a public transport pass for the length of your stay....handy. Rooms are a little bizarre in design and don't take a cat as you won't be able to swing it!!. Bed very small, low and uncomfortable however walk in shower in the small partitioned bathroom very good. Breakfast OK ish. Think you pay a premium for the excellent view of the lake. Reception staff very good and helpful. Nothing special about this place but handy, very clean with good staff.

The location is right by the sea, the view is excellent, some rooms may not have a lift, there is a luggage service, there is a parking lot, but the location is limited, you need to take the subway to the old town of Lausanne, the hotel will provide a free subway ticket.

Spectacular view towards the lake! Impeccable cleaning. Nice facility, very comfortable bed, Good central location. The hotel gives you a pass for public transport for the duration of your stay, great! It is my favorite hotel when I visit Lausanne ❤️.

The hotel is very beautiful, a pleasant room, well located in the tops of Lausanne, the metro is quick to the city centre and the lake. A very nice staff, a very clean fitness, a small sauna and a Hamamatsu unfortunately much too hot, impossible to stand up???? A small setting is required😉a good experience, I'll return there.
