I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the recent turn of events concerning my reservation at your hotel. I had eagerly booked a stay for my family, consisting of eight individuals, including my mother, sisters, and niece, for this upcoming June 2023. This trip holds significant importance to us as it is a girls' trip, and it was intended to be a special occasion for my mother and aunts, who are originally from Ecuador but have never had the opportunity to visit Cotopaxi. I specifically chose your hotel due to its reputation for providing amazing views and a wide range of activities. The prospect of experiencing the beauty of Cotopaxi and enjoying the amenities at your property filled us with excitement. However, approximately two weeks ago, I received an email from your property informing me that my reservation would be canceled due to an accidental overbooking caused by a group reservation. I must admit, I was taken aback and deeply disheartened by this news. It is difficult for me to comprehend how our reservation, made months in advance, could be disregarded in favor of another group's reservation. I feel let down and disrespected by this turn of events. As a result of this cancellation, I am now left scrambling to find suitable accommodation for our party of eight in Cotopaxi. The task of securing alternative arrangements that offer comparable accommodations, amenities, and pricing has proven to be quite challenging, particularly given the considerable amount of time that has passed since my initial reservation back in February. I feel compelled to share my experience with others who may be considering booking with your hotel, particularly those who are traveling from afar. I urge them to exercise utmost caution and thoroughly verify their reservations to avoid facing a similar situation where their stay is unexpectedly compromised. I sincerely hope that you can understand the immense disappointment and frustration I am currently experiencing. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and reflect upon the impact such a situation can have on your guests.
