This review will basically be about our experience not so much of the hotel itself! I must say this hotel was not what I expected or perhaps my expectations were too high. All in all it wasn’t expensive and could use a facelift and would be an absolute increíble hotel! But I must say the hotel has the a potential beyond any other, the staff made our stay, breakfast was included and just to say if you stay there don’t wait until 10:30 because they do not replenish but breakfast was pretty good, now let me tell you about the staff, we had dinner at their beach restaurant every night for 3 nights there, why? Easy the staff was amazing! Magdalena and Ronny and Esther made sure our food was what we wanted. Aylin and her witty jokes made our time awesome! Miguel made us laugh and made sure we had everything we needed and boy he could certainly get around each table cracking jokes. But there Star was Veronica, she was beyond accommodating answered questions about the area, so accommodating she knew exactly what we needed and had the most incredible smile! She is definitely and huge asset. If your looking for marble floors and glamour perhaps this is not for your but of your looking for rustic great price and clean place to stay this is your spot! The beach was spectacular

WE WERE IN SEPTEMBER and I didn't like the service at all, the service is everything and I don't know if it was because I was Dominican. But they treat you with indifference and without any attention to the guest.They don't greet or smile and when they serve you you can tell that they only expect a tip.

Amazing experience at Playa Colibri. Everybody was super nice and super helpful, breakfast on the beach - a dream, all the amenities for the beach - great, the bar - super, the pool and the apartment were great, we even got upgraded for the apartment ! We had great holidays !

Place is beautiful but service is very slow. Food is just okay. Lunch & dinner took 2 hours minimum. You should also ask for more blankets. Our suite only had a very thin sheet & a thin blanket in the closet. Location is convenient, right next to the beach. Beautiful pool.

I’ve stayed here multiple times. This is my favorite place to stay in Las Terrenas. The breakfast buffet was so fresh and delicious. The yummy drinks brought straight to you whether you are in the pool or laying out on the beach. I went with my elderly mother and we got a little apartment on the second floor. It could not have been more perfect. We would start early on the beach and end up in the pool later in the afternoon. Then after a shower back to the beach for dinner at their outdoor restaurant. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the second of arrival. A special shout out to Mary who really took such good care of us. What a kind and special soul. I look forward to returning. Family friendly, couple friendly, traveling solo friendly - you name it !

Great stay second time staying here. Great welcoming during our check in Ana helped us with the room,even got an upgrade Great service throughout the whole stay. Clean place steps from the Beach. Very nice pool, staffing is great. Shout out for Esperanza in the colibri restaurant made sure the whole family was taken care of definitely will make sure to ask for her for a wonderful service.

I had another lovely stay at Playa Colibri. I was here a month ago, and that’s the reason I came back. It’s a calm place, with lovely plants throughout the property. One of the best parts is the breakfast with SO many choices: eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, cereal, and more! The beach location is also fabulous- steps from the hotel with excellent water and sand. Very relaxing… The only negative was the mosquitoes in the room, but management quickly responded to my requests for fumigation. Thank you! The staff overall is incredibly helpful and kind.

We expended 12 days at Playa Colibri in a lovely small family cottage for 5 people, with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The service is excellent and all the staff professional and very nice. The place is clean, the restaurant is good and the place is very nice and cosy. The restaurant at the beach was fine and we had dinner there very often. Yury, Pedro Miguel, Ana and the rest of the reception staff were very nice and hard working. The beach is fantastic and you can walk quite far. The only less nice point was the music that was every were and loud but I think is like this in every place at the Dominican Republic.
