We have stayed here a number of times and the hotel is always clean well maintained and staff are courteous and friendly. This was no exception; we were delighted with the stay. However, there have always been two shortcomings in our experience. The TV reception has always been poor and the internet flaky. This time the TV was excellent, but the internet not so good. WiFi did work, but I think it was not compatible with my laptop for some reason, so I thought I would use the Ethernet cable. It was dead. So, I thought I would go to the Business Center; the machines there were dead. I talked to the desk clerk and was told that this was no surprise and calls by hotel personnel to remedy this were usually ineffective. The Ethernet connection and the Business Center were both down for our entire three day stay. Ironically, as we were wheeling our luggage out on check-out day, I noticed that one of the computers in the Business Center was up. I was not a happy camper.

Stayed her one night as it has great proximity to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The room was a standard Fairfield configuration and was clean. We noticed there was no soap provided in the room. When we called down to the front desk, they said they were out of supplies and they suggested that if we had brought our own personal shampoo, to use that as an alternative. Things did not get better when we went to breakfast. They were out of milk and creamer for coffee. Had not hot breakfast options and just a few packaged muffins, hard boiled eggs but no fruit (not even bananas or apples). The told me at checkin, since their occupancy was low, they would put us on the ”quiet side”. We locked out and could see train tracks. So we though maybe the highway noise was louder than the train. It was definitely not quiet as trains consistently passed by through the night. I inquired to General Manager Kelsey Swanson, but was told that ”supply chain issues” were to blame, and that their hands were tied. We checked-out and headed for Carlsbad Caverns. As a Gold Elite member, there was no recognition during the stay and essentially we were told to ”get over it” and due without soap inthe bathroom or any passable breakfast for the rate.

This was a nice and pleasant experience for us. Staff was friendly and always helpful. The mountains there as the backdrop makes it a peaceful easy feeling. Everything was great. We had easy access to our rooms and we were happy to be there.

I arrived early and i was able to conduct a early check in which was great. That was something I have never experienced before. Room was clean. I went to the bathroom and sat down when i did the seat screws were so loose, I almost slide onto the floor and that was not good. I tightened up the screws myself. The next morning, I decided to grab some breakfast!! There was not any hot food everything was just bread, oatmeal, waffles all high carb low protein foods. So, I grabbed a bagel and bread they were old and hard stale lots of cream cheese helped. Coffee was low quality. I did expect more I have stayed in several La Quinta and this one is one needs some improvements.

I really like the location, it's close to everything! Good restaurants and historic Melissa, which is nice to visit. The GM Jessica was such a a great help and provided us with fast and friendly service. We had several questions that she was able to answer and was very hospitable. I will definitely be returning in the future. NM is is so beautiful!

The ENTIRE reason we stayed there was for the slide in the pool. We got there and were told the pool was going to be closed all weekend due some kids making a mess the previous night. I explained to the employee we booked there to use the pool with the slide and she said …sorry it’s closed
I took a look in the pool area and everything looked fine and felt it was not quite right to close it off for the entire weekend when that is when you have the most people

CLEAN! Very pleasant and helpful front desk. Room was spacious and CLEAN! Plenty of room for bags. Most comfortable beds and comforter. Limited parking close to front of hotel but appears more behind. Wonderful recommendation for Italian restaurant across the street. Quiet. Full breakfast. Would definitely stay here again! CLEAN!

GGuest UserMy wife and I originally reserved a room at the LaQuinta near Old Mesilla; however, my brother lives in Las Cruces, and he suggested that we move to the Ramada. It is located in a ”better” part of town and tends to have a different audience as compared to the Mesilla area. We took his advice, and we were not disappointed. The room was very nice, old-school amenities, but still in working condition. We really liked the courtyard area and little shops near the front desk. The restaurant offered a great selection of breakfast options for only about $6 ... and the pool was nearby and available until 8 p.m. each night. We were surprised at how quiet the room was ... considering that the rooms around us had families with young kids. Although the air conditioning was a little tricky, it worked fine ... providing a comfortable environment. Constructively, the younger desk staff could use some customer service training. Yes ... they were professional and polite. But it was very obvious that they really did not want to visit, share options for meals, etc. An older desk staff member was cleaning the coffee area one night ... very gracious with her time, laughing with guests, and openly visiting with people to make their stay even better. With respect to some reviews that shared issues with homeless individuals inside the hotel, we stayed four nights ... including a weekend ... and we did not witness anything unusual. Yes, there were some individuals walking through the parking lot, but we certainly did not feel threatened or concerned for our vehicle. My wife and I liked this site so much that we are planning a return trip in December.

However, the main reason I gave five stars was due to the positive experience I had with one of your staff members. Nicky is a breath of fresh air in customer service. Not only did she manage to diffuse my terrible mood with her upbeat, happy demeanor, but she also went way out of her way to resolve an issue I was having that was completely unrelated to me staying at the motel. Thanks again, Nicole. You are the reason I will be returning to that motel for any of my future stays.

Although it was a cost effective solution for two nights.......the room was definitely not 'covid' sanitized or even cleaned for that matter. The carpet was dirty, the desk top was dirty, and dust layered on many surfaces. The floor behind the door in the bathroom was layered with dust and dirt. Lampshades were falling apart, and the lounge chair was old and worn. Breakfast was not served; perhaps due to Covid shutdown. There are many other choices in LC near I-10 and the university.
