We had a great experience at this hotel, travelling as 2 families of 5 and 6 and arriving on New Year’s Eve and returning on 7th Jan 2024. The hotel has a great location near to the beach and local amenities. Our two-bed suite was spacious, very clean and well equipped. There is no air-con switched on during winter, but the temperature during the day was average 22 degrees and cooler at night, so was not needed at all any way. One of our favourite things about the suite was the ‘L’ shape layout, giving a sense of privacy between bedroom spaces, and also the lovely balcony area. We stayed in room 1131 in block 1 and had a pool view. The only thing I would say is that the matresses are quite thin, but we still found them perfectly fine for our stay. The hotel pool areas were well-maintained and the pools were very clean (not heated FYI). Pool bar was inside which was good in cooler weather/early evening. Drinks choices good and liked the reusable plastic cups and collection points, helping to keep the outside area clean. We were really pleased with the food choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner - we couldn’t fault it really. The added option of the oriental and Galeon bar is a great addition and the food in there was lovely, we felt. Not a really extensive choice, but most definitely enough as an extra option. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Entertainment team fantastic. They were great with little ones and worked really hard. The shows were what you would expect from an all-inclusive, with some nice touches - our favourite was the fire show and it was nice to have a live singer poolside one day. Crazy golf was also a good addition and volleyball nets. Grounds really well- maintained and we felt the whole place was kept very clean, right down to seeing window cleaners etc. There are a choice of a couple of places to get a drink in the evening. And there are also a choice of bars etc nearby away from the hotel if you want to venture out (lots with happy hour and lovely tapas!). It’s about a 20-25 min drive to the hotel from the airport and we really liked the surrounding resort too. Our older teenage children spent hours in the sea a little way down the coast exploring snorkelling and finding sea life. We had a trip to the Dominican Republic (Royalton Punta Cana) back in August 2023 which cost a lot more than what we paid for this holiday (and which ended up being a nightmare) - Los Zocos beats it hands down in pretty much every way!

From start to finish we had an amazing stay at Los Zocos. Each and every member of staff we met were pleasant, friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. The buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner were as expected. It was great that there were some staples every day for our fussy 4 year old so he never went hungry. My niece, who is lactose intolerant, never had a problem finding a good food to eat. Equally we always found plenty to eat and never had a bad meal. The breakfast omlettes were the only let down, in my opinion. They were like crepes filled with your choice of ham, cheese etc. The smoothies were a nice touch, and the pancake station - the chef there was definitely kept busy!!! The themed nights were mixed - the mexican surprised us (the fajitas were amazing) and the Canarian night was probably the best. We skipped English night to try out the Chinese - not a great selection as many reviews said but that's okay when you're only eating there once during your stay. The fried vegetable noodles were so good. The pool bar had the same menu every day and is perfect for the kids - burgers, hot dogs, pasta, chips and salads. There has been comments made about the size of the cups they give - we didn't find this an issue (half pint of wine, anyone?!) at all except for coffee!!! Would have loved a large cup of coffee so if this is you, bring your own cup. Reading feedback about the quality of the shorts - I found them on par with bars and other locations. Also, they were willing to make up cocktails if you didn't want the pre-made ones. With regard getting sunbeds in the shade - there is always lots available in the quiet pool. Unfortunately the kids wanted to be over in the entertainment area so we had to try get shade early. However, they were adding more shade when we were there which will be great. Yes, the pools are cold but that's the same everywhere we've been unless they are heated. The kids never minded and spent almost all day in the pool splashing around. Once you get in and are moving it's fine. We did aquagym every day and never found the cold a problem. And the number of people who got into the pool for the foam party certainly didn't seem to find the cold a problem!!! The resort is well located - 20 minutes from the airport, across the road from the beach and lots of supermarkets, cafés, shops and a pharmacy nearby. We stayed in a junior suite and it suited our needs. The balcony had two loungers as well as the table and chairs. In terms of storage for our suitcases, we found that tricky - but that was the only downside. The shower is really powerful (two options!) and bathrooms have a hairdryer. As a family holiday - Los Zocos certainly delivered. The animation team were passionate about their job and always energetic. A huge thank you to each one of them. Kid's club for the under 8s was really good - our little boy couldn't wait to go every day. And as for the kid's disco (not my cup of tea) it was his

Our apartment was lovely and spacious and was spotlessly clean. The grounds of the hotel was gorgeous with so much to do. The pools are a perfect depth for the kids but were a little cold but still nice to get in to cool down. The food was good always lots of choice we didn’t have a bad meal. Just across from the hotel is the beach with lots of lovely restaurants and reasonable priced too. The entertainment team were fab always full of so much energy and so good with all the kids … especially paddy. The shows of a night were enjoyable although sometimes quite similar. The only negative point I have is my 8 year old son burnt his hand in the pool bar on the hot boiling water machine and the lifeguard didn’t have a first aid kit and was very unhelpful and I was sent to the reception who told me to go the life guard. After 10 mins they found one in the back but it hardly had anything in and nothing to help with a burn. I felt like we got no help at all from the staff and the chemists were all closed as was a Sunday. A big hotel like this full of kids should be well equipped

We arrived at Los Zocos travelling from Durham on Sunday 19th May. Zero issues checking in and the room 2214 was clean and well maintained. Breakfast, dinner and tea were spot on although all inclusive isn't really my thing, there were plenty of options to choose from. My 2 x 7 year olds never complained once and they managed to try all sorts of different foods that they wouldn't normally try. Some items were cooked fresh like the omelettes so you had to wait, but that's to be expected. The pool is cold, no getting away from it but once you take the plunge it's fine. A cloudy first day didn't help but once the sun got out there were no issues. It can be windy mind! There were plenty of beds and the quieter pool was ideal, but no music around there. Entertainment throughout the day was great, and the team were brilliant with the kids. On a night, there is a kids club at 20:15 and then the main show after. All ok in my opinion. Drinks were good, even the ready made cocktails were much better than I expected as in other places they have been undrinkable. As others have said not much seating outside but plenty inside. Wasn't an issue for us. The beach is an easy 5 min walk and the main square 10 mins. Plenty of local shops close by. All shut at 10pm. Taxis 5 euros to the main square. Hotel was clean and well maintained, didn't see a single cockroach in the hotel. The boys couldn't play football with the team as you have to be a minimum of 9, but the mini golf and other activities made up for it. Overall a great family holiday and I would definitely return. On a side note, the transfer from the airport was only 25 minutes on the coach, and the hotel has the resort flight check in for on the way home. Another bonus!! Thanks to Jet2 and Los Zocos for a wonderful week away.

I am currently at the resort and wanted to review my experience so far. We arrived and it was a wait for our room we were able to use all the facilities but as our room took longer than expected to be ready they upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment rather than the 1 bed that we had booked. This was a nice touch and very much appreciated. The pools are lovely but I agree they are cold however I wouldn't expect anything else. There are plenty of sun loungers but a lack of shade - they are putting up extra permanent shade as we speak so are clearly taking note of reviews. Two areas that are a little frustrating: the pool bar often has a long queue as there is usually only one person serving BUT I'm on holiday so am happy to wait. The restaurant has plenty of food choices BUT if you are vegetarian then it's very disappointing. I always expect to have a limited choice when on an all inclusive holiday but what is very annoying is that the food isn't labelled as vegetarian. I have had a few times had to abandon a plate of food as I've accidentally picked up something with meat in. Some days 90% of the pre-made salad options appear to have meat in. I realise this is my preference but could be easily rectified by having salads with the bowl of chopped meat for people to add? It does mean that sometimes the choice is very limited. I am also sure that if I asked they would prepare something but it's nice to have a choice. However my children eat meat and have plenty of options daily. The rooms are cleaned daily and the resort and staff have all been lovely. We would 100% revisit despite my two small *******. A holiday is what you make it - right!

Great family holiday. Clean hotel, 10 min walk to the beach.Delicious food (every day different 👌). Best Fram (Yohan, Flora, Ines, Marie, Chloe) &Activ (Leo, Paddy, Tomek, Mateo, Nadine, Eva, Nira) team, always happy and smiling. Well done guys 👏👍. Lots of fun&activities (football, volleyball, aqua aerobic, kids disco/club and lots more). Very nice and helpful people at the reception. I recommend this place, it was great time for us.

Just some things to note - Kids love chicken nuggets and watermelon on holiday. We only had this once in a week. We had a ground floor room. It was huge, plenty of space for 4 of us. However we had 4 cockroaches come to visit during our stay. shame all entertainment in the evening is inside as it’s very loud. The only chairs outside are taken up by smokers I found breakfast buffet disappointing unless you like a cooked breakfast however the British bacon was delicious The resort itself was lovely, lovely restaurants and bars. And the hotel staff always seemed to be busy with cleaning and maintenance

Friendly receptionist requested room with lift which they gave us. Spacious rooms. Loved location plenty to do near by. The food was lovely something for everyone. The animation team were excellent. My grand daughter loved the mini disco. They all worked hard and she loved Paddy. What I liked he would kneel down to be on the same level of the young ones. My husband found the mattress uncomfortable he could feel the springs in the mattress. We didn’t complain. Apart from that everything was really good. I would recommend. Excellent clean hotel with everyone being friendly and welcoming.

An honest review recently returning from the resort. Travelling with two adults and one 4yr old mid May. Room: We stayed in a room on the first floor between the two pool areas, next to the crazy golf (free). Room has a twin room and the sofa was turned into a bed for our little one. Small kitchenette and shower room. Balcony looking over the quiet pool. Very nice - no complaints at all. Briefly cleaned/tidied daily. Pool: Two main pool areas, one quiet and the other with entertainment. Kids and adult pools. Lots of sunbeds and lifeguard on duty (not sure I’d trust it though; spent their time heads down on their phones) - don’t be irresponsible and look after you kids like you normally would!! Very little shade but resort looks to be improving this. Food: Buffet restaurant open morning, lunch and dinner. Food was standard all inclusive, no thrills but what I expected for all inclusive. If you want non-bulk cooked food don’t go all inclusive. Did get a bit samey/boring towards the end of the week but nothing we haven’t found at other all inclusive resorts we stayed in the past. Chinese restaurant (no bookings required) similar to an all you can eat but with half the amount of dishes. A nice change to the buffet. Al-a-cart we didn’t visit because it is adults only. Drink: During the day the bars are open at the poolside serving most drinks you can think of in plastic cups only - it is a pool after all!! Beer is Tropical and I didn’t find it to taste like you would get out of resort - maybe watered down. Cocktails are premixed and very sweet - on their own we’re a little ‘boring’ however could be topped up with extra spirits. Spirits are plentyfull but bottom shelf. Fruit juices and water is readily available. Evening area serves the same drink but in glasses. Entertainment: The animation staff are lovely however not as animated as we have found at other resorts. Kids club for a couple hours a day (4yrs+), a couple games away from the poolside but not a lot taking part in the pool area - maybe the time of year we visited. Evening kids disco (20:15) followed by a show changing every night. Sundays no evening entertainment at all. Facilities: Gym is decent for a hotel. Weights and machines - I was impressed especially it’s free and not busy. Small arcade which gives tickets for prizes. Local area: Beach is 5min walk over the road through a small mall area with bars and restaurants. Teguise is 20min walk and in my option quiet to Maspalomas we have visited before (Gran Canaria). Overview: We won’t be returning however we didn’t leave disheartened. Maybe due to the time of year but the resort was overrun with English at the time of visiting (maybe 95%) we could have gone to Great Yarmouth for the same experience…
