Disgustingly dirty hotel. Went through 3 rooms trying to find a clean one, should have left but stayed thinking it has to get better…only got worse. Breakfast was terribly, both food and service. Sad to see this old hotel neglected. Dirty windows in a dining room are always a sign of pure laziness in housekeeping. Doors, windows, grounds, rooms all dirty and lack of care by owners and un-trained staff. Take your money elsewhere, this hotel does not deserve your dollars.

We are currently staying at this hotel for the weekend and are disappointed. We discovered this picturesque hotel last fall when we stopped for lunch here on our way to the Maritimes. There are many different room types and prices. You probably won't know what you are getting until you get here. Many face the water, but some units have a blocked view. Some units have a fridge and MW, the same unit next door may not. In September we are paying $300/ night for a standard king unit. Rooms have been modernized and are comfortable. Breakfast was good and included. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. On our 2 night stay we asked to have our room cleaned, but only got new towels. Nice place with potential, but disappointing. That is probably why it appears that fewer than a dozen rooms are occupied this weekend.

The Inn is getting old and needs a facelift. The room was overpriced for the quality and comfort level. Both restaurants had the air conditioning set too high and the cold temperature made it uncomfortable. The food was ordinary and overpriced as well. The Gananoque Inn has lost its charm and appeal over the past few years. The atmosphere is not the same anymore with the new ownership. I would not recommend staying there anytime soon.

Great location, standard rooms, friendly staff. We enjoyed sitting on the patio enjoying the view, standard breakfast - great for an overnight stay, parking out front and helpful staff. We had king room, spacious w sitting area, a/c and fireplace. Reception & restaurant staff were delightful and very helpful.

Really disappointed with our stay. While the room itself was adequate for an old Inn, it was clean and comfortable. But the dining staff was ill prepared , and untrained in food service. Had to ask for everything, water, utensils, salt/pepper etc. Front desk clerk was somewhat rude. Absolutely no promotional literature regarding tourist activities in the surrounding area. I blame management for not staying on top of things. Too bad - such a nice location.

Severely over priced! Old and tired and smelly. The carpet in rooms is scary. The staff is rude and incapable of adequate service the breakfast is overpriced and inedible. They are not qualified to run a hotel or a restaurant - nor do I recommend this hotel or either of their restaurants. I’m surprised health inspectors haven’t shut them down. Seriously 😳

Sadly, the Inn has deteriorated on many levels. Firstly, the price you pay to be in little old Gananoque is criminal. Over $300 for one night in an outdated, dirty, musty room. The washroom was dirty, oue room was described as Island view and we looked out to a parking lot. Buyer beware, save your money and book a room at another hotel. We'll NEVER go back!

We spent 2 nights at the Inn and were mostly pleased with our stay. The building is beautiful, we had a renovated room on the 3rd floor. The hallways were very hot, no AC in the hallways, the room's AC unit worked okay. It took a long time to get hot water for the shower and was luke warm. the free breakfast was okay too much margarine on the toast. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The location was amazing, you could walk to everywhere you wanted to go. All in all we enjoyed our stay.
