Grand Hôtel 1899

This hotel is well located. The staff are lovely. The rooms are comfortable, air-conditioned, with large shower rooms. The restaurant food is excellent! I recommend this establishment without hesitation. But everything is very clean, and there is a large room to enjoy the bar.

Hotel bien placé, tres agreable, personnel de qualité. Le service et le restaurant sont d"un bon niveau. Je recommande vivement.

Very warm welcome, attentive hotel staff, very comfortable bedding, the room renovated, too bad the bathroom is dated, very decent meal. A great introduction to our arrival in Lozère. Address that I recommend.

The pluses: - central location - beautiful bedding and new decor BUT, the minuses: - entrance on the 1st floor - shower area so small that it splashes on the toilet and the sink - no door or curtain for the privacy of the toilet ( room for 2 people) - terrible noise which prevents even opening the window a crack (above the street and the terrace) - a highlight when reserving toiletries available, but there are none nothing: just a soap dispenser diluted in water, basic, uninteresting. The standard of your hotel room, nothing more. - a laptop screen TV screen, 5 m from the bed, with image/sound that cuts off every 5 minutes (bad wifi?) - a garage for bikes/motorcycles that closes at 9 p.m. (not announced at the time of booking !) - no staff present in the hotel from 9 p.m. ... Tel number if there is a problem ... It's not because we reserve a 'standard' room (understand from the employee at the '1st price' welcome, at 55 euros anyway), which we can skimp on the base. In all cases, you must be very clear about the services when booking, which was not done even though we asked questions.
