Comforts of Whidbey

Our 40th wedding anniversary was spent at this Bed and Breakfast/Winery. What a wonderful time we had. The owners were welcoming and took extra time to visit with us when they had time. The property is in a quiet location, and the fact that it is a working winery as well is unique. It is located just minutes from Langley which is one of our favorite small towns to visit. The property is pastoral and the modern building nestles into the setting well. The rooms are clean, tastefully appointed, and very comfortable. The room we were in was spacious and had plenty of storage and open area. The custom bed frames and headboards really added to the spacious room feel. The common kitchen area is well set up, and the common reading/living room is inviting. We had a view that looked across to Clinton and south Everett. We understood there was a simple breakfast, but wow! We got homemade granola with yogurt and toasted homemade apricot/walnut bread with an apple/pear/fig side salad. We were having battery problems with our vehicle - requiring an overnight battery charge, and finally a jump-start. They were very helpful and made sure we got jumped so we could get over to Les Schwab and get a new battery. This place is our best place to stay in the area! We will go out of our way to get here.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at Comforts of Whidbey and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Rita and Carl. The room was very nice, well appointed with a lovely view. Great location, just minutes outside of Langley. Wine tasting was included with our room package and we truly enjoyed all of them. But the highlight was Rita's spectacular breakfasts (served on weekends). We'll definitely venture back the next time we're on Whidbey Island. Thank you, Carl & Rita, for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed here for two nights- it was fantastic. The B&B consists of 6 rooms above the winery. Our room was quite spacious and comfortable with a view of the grounds and the water. (The bathroom was also quite large.). Coffee, tea, and light snacks are available around the clock down the hallway. The breakfasts were delicious with pretty much everything homemade. The innkeepers/ winery owners were outgoing and friendly. They also make some great wines.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Comforts of Whidbey. The setting was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Hopefully we will get a chance to return soon!

First, the good - the property is beautiful, our room was clean and had an amazing view, and Rita was very kind. Sadly, we were disappointed to learn when we arrived on a Tuesday that breakfast and wine tasting is only provided on weekends. Breakfast was the main reason I booked this place and I still can't find anywhere on the website where it says breakfast is not every day. The owner, Rita, was kind enough to pour us some wine when we asked about it, but it was clearly not the norm. Also, beware that the rooms do not have AC and the rooms are on the upper floor.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy, the room was clean and well stocked, and the grounds were nice and fun. It’s a working farm and winery, which Toni’s enhanced the atmosphere. The host was fantastic and made us feel very much at home. Lots of little touches that really add up. Being a winery with good wine choices helps also!!
