There is also a Gecko minimart just next to it where you can get everything last minute. Cash only though. Overall, a decent stay as hotel was still new when we went. The hotel is very nice, and we enjoyed our stay. There are two restaurants: one on the beach, offering more Western-style cuisine and alcohol, and another near the lobby that is more Asian and Muslim-friendly. For the beach restaurant, you need to book a table if you want to eat outside during the weekend. The breakfast was very good. There is an amazing kids' room with all sorts of toys where the children can safely play. Just next to it, there is a small zoo with many animals. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was very convenient as you can go for a swim anytime, walking out from your balcony. The bar inside the pool was nice, and the prices were reasonable. One complaint is that the check-in was very long, taking a bit more than an hour even though we arrived after 3 pm.

Convenient location within walking distance to beaches. Grabs are cheap and to rent a bike is cheap anyways so definitely a good location. The hotel was clean, a little loud as you get woken up several times (the speaker for praying seemed to be so close to my room I stayed in 101) so didn't get the best sleep. Some staff seemed really nice and it was easy check in process, although having to pay 100 ringgit deposit wasn't ideal as I didn't know about this until arrival (I knew about paying tax but not that I needed money out for deposit also). Can't complain about the hotel though as overall was a nice experience and I was out most of the time anyway exploring Langkawi, such a beautiful island.

First of all, let me say yes, the shape and decoration are really good, the floating breakfast is very impressive, there is a very well-behaved kitten, who looked after the door in our room after being given a biscuit, and even caught a little mouse. The service is pretty good, there are Chinese-speaking waiters, and most of the residents are Chinese. The bad: The water isolation in the bathroom is a bit messed up, it should be installed at the back. The tap water is very yellow and I dare not drink it. I still have to buy bottled water to boil water, and I don't give two more bottles of water. In a rural area, it is actually not very far from Pantai Cenang, more than 1 kilometer, but walking on a hot day is still difficult, and the road is a bit winding. Basically, you have to take a taxi, but it is not easy to take a taxi and you have to wait for a long time.

Our stay at La Villa Langkawi was excellent. The staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful. The staff got to know you quickly. It added a very nice personal touch and made us feel special, rather than just being one of a number of guests. A special shout-out to Bella at the hotel who made me feel at home and it was like seeing a friend everyday. The pool is just stunning. We had a wonderful couples massage at the Leaf Spa. It was thoroughly luxurious and very relaxing. The therapists at the Leaf Spa were excellent and it is honestly the best massage I have ever had. The room was extremely spacious and very comfortable. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay, everyone was wonderful and we will definitely be returning.

The best way to describe this hotel is, a 3-star hotel with a 4-5 star resort personality and quality :) While searching online prior to booking, I found that it is 3-star and boutique level (I have learned in the past during my few stays in LGK, 3-star on actual site is often actually 2-star and less) which admittedly, already sealed my expectations but I was banking on it being revamped and newly launched few months ago so worth a check-out. While the front facade is newly painted and looks like a shop lot converted hotel, my oh my, the moment you enter the Reception area, everything is so well designed and nowhere near its first impression - and the Bayou was definitely being sneaky on me with its amazing pool backyard view! Room was great and as aesthetically pleasing as advertised, breakfast was a good spread and staff was superbly friendly. It felt like we were in a resort hotel in spite of its location. Another thing that I enjoy here is the openness of the Lobby area with ample seating areas, separated by flexible sliding glass doors which made the area more spacious than it actually is - the design is very clever. This wild card was definitely worth it!

One of the best places to stay in Langkawi, definitely will stay again if we ever return. Room was Instagram worthy. The pool was warm, refreshing and regularly cleaned. Great location right on the Cenang beach strip. Right across from the aquarium and within short walking distance of the beach and many good local restaurants. However the hotels layout gives you a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Housekeeping was 10/10 — refreshments, beverages and toiletries were replenished daily. New towels are provided if you leave the old on the floor, and new linens are provided upon request.

White Lodge Chalet is an underrrated gem smack in the middle of the popular beach area. We got a really good rate on an OTA, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived of the great deal it turned out to be. Our room was fairly spacious and there is an inviting pool in the middle of the lovely compound. There is a hot and cold drinking water dispenser, and our room had a fridge, kettle, tv and coffee/tea. The location is another big draw. It’s in the middle of the key beach stretch, smacked between Cenang and Tenang beaches so both are within easy stroll. Within 5min stroll you are at the Aquarium and behind that, the start of Cenang beach, and we never found a need to drive. Plenty of good eateries and supermarkets are nearby as well that operate late into the night. There is a good roti canai store for breakfast a mere 2min’s walk away, and McDonald’s less than 5min away. The folk running the motel are also friendly and helpful. When we asked to add a bed, the attention was immediate and the staff even refused a tip! We also booked our island hopping tour through them and the prices were reasonable. They also service the room daily although they did not replenish our coffee/tea and water. There are a couple of things we found lacking however. One is that the wifi is pretty unreliable. Sometimes it cannot access certain websites, other times it’s disconnected to internet altogether. A tourist SIM card is really cheap in Malaysia however. Another is that the doors were not well aligned, so opening and closing takes some brute force and creates a fair bit of noise at night. We read some complain about the shower being above the toilet, which isn’t really the case (though they are near). The shower position never bothered us. The new hotel extension is already completed (so no more issues with construction noise and dust) although it’s not yet open. Overall there is really little reason not to like this place. We got a good bang for the buck, and everyone including the kids enjoyed the 3-day stay. Highly recommended for those who don’t want to burn a hole in their wallet.

The hotel is very close to Zhennan Island, and this hotel has its own private beach. It is clean and there are fewer people. The sunrise and sunset are very suitable for taking pictures. The front desk is very warm. There is no problem with Chinese communication throughout the whole process. It is a little farther from the pier in Gua Town (but this taxi is very convenient) I like Ann, I can sleep beautifully at night. The hotel also has a squirrel, several cats, all very close relatives.

The entire bathroom facilities in the hotel are relatively complete, because hot water is supplied 24 hours a day, and the private bathroom can be used to wash well without being disturbed by others. You can take a bath in the evening, so that you can relax your body and mind to a certain extent. A very satisfied stay at bed attitude. The staff are friendly even the guests staying here too. Its a good chance to meet new people, while you can also choose to enjoy your solo trip since no one is forced to communicate. The faci is clean. I like the bean bag very much. No need to worry too much and just enjoy your stay here. The hostel has some activity to join too so be sure to check them out at the counter. ps the photo is the sunset kayak activity that i joined with guests from the hostel. definitely worth to try.
