Langkawi Padang Matsirat Hotels

Excellent room spacious and in-room amenities. We love the bathroom (wudhu’ pipe), the spacious bathtub, the kitchen sink (clean up baby’s bottle etc.) without going to the toilet, the room layout, the view. Very nice 👍🏼🫰🏼

The team at the hotel made everything possible to make my trip memorable and great. They were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a shuttle bus at two different times to Ceneng Beach every day. Breakfast is very varied with Indian, Malay, Mediterranean options. I was generously treated to dessert options at some nights. Beds are super comfortable. And you can literally go anywhere on the island by grab or thé hotel’s shuttle bus. The airport is just a 2 minute walk to the airport. The pool is of nice size with a nice fountain and there are two of pools. Would love to stay there again- may be next school holiday ❤️

I stayed here for three nights. The breakfast is really excellent with a nice variety of different foods. The pool is excellent.  Despite the hotel being close to the airport, you wouldn’t notice the noise of the planes at all

We had an amazing trip and the hotel was a big part of it. The room was nice, the airport is nearby by you can’t really hear the planes, it’s out of the city area so its quiet(but close enough that you can get a grab and be at Cenang beach quickly), the beach in front was basically empty the whole time (can’t really swim in it, but nice to look at), the pool is big and looks over the beach, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We spend more days at the pool than anything else.  To be honest, the hotel is a bit older and there are a few things that could be updated. But all the positives outweighed the negatives, just be aware it’s not an updated new hotel and you’ll be fine.

The host Didi and his wife were very helpful! Explained everything about Langkawi and answered all of our questions. Nice breakfast. Also want to mention strategic location of this Lodge since it’s almost close to everything useful on the island: airport, beaches in the east with some nice restaurants (seafood in particular) and duty free shops as well as beaches in the north (we liked Skull beach very much) and skybridge entertainment. So surely I recommend Ocean Lodge!

The room and pool are nice, general athmosphere is good. It is located at a junction with a few small shops. It is not really near anything. If you don't have a car, you would have to take a Grab to everywhere. My room was booked without breakfast and it seems they only provide breakfast if there are other rooms who have booked breakfast. Otherwise, no breakfast available and there are not really any restaurants nearby just a small roti place. So I liked the hotel itself, but if you don't have a car, the location is not so good. The lady behind the reception is very nice, the man might need a few hospitaluty classes.

Theres no TV and lift. Towels are stained. Service was good. Good mattress and pillow. Still considered great deal for the price that I pay.

I have just returned from a truly wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in luxury. The facilities are absolutely excellent—from the stunning pools to the beautifully appointed room, every detail was perfect. And the view! Waking up to that breathtaking vista of the Andaman Sea was really awesome and something we will never forget. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Every single team member we encountered was so helpful, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring we had a perfect experience. We would like to give a special mention to Asri at the Beach Grill. He is such a nice and wonderful person. We felt so comfortable and grateful to talk with him; his service went far beyond just taking our order. He shared so many funny stories and insights about Langkawi, its culture, and its beautiful nature. He has a fantastic sense of humour and a real passion for the island, which made our meals there not just delicious, but truly memorable. He is a real asset to the hotel. Thank you to Asri and the entire team for making our vacation so special. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and we are planning to return hotel soon.

This resort is big and beautiful, immersed in nature and their service is excellent. ( please forgive me if I have butchered the names or spelled them wrong) Faraaz was welcoming and informative upon check in, I came in early to check in and he made sure to find me so that I can check in my room a little before 3 pm. The surroundings are lovely, the resort hugs the mountains and is surrounded by lush green. There’s many activities that you can do within the resort, as well as the skybridge and oriental village a stone throw away ( you can get a one way shuttle courtesy of resort. The room itself was old but the housekeeping staff does an excellent job because it was clean, there’s no sewer smells and the bed is cosy. The only issue I have is that of the gaps which lets geckos in, a huge one made it’s home in the bathroom, thumbs up to front desk service which is open and the security came late at night to help find it but it had hidden. The next day I saw one come through the gap in the door, ( there is a brush at the bottom but doesn’t fit until the end) I clapped my hands wildly to chase it back out. Perhaps provide a door draft stopper, I just used the towels to fill in gaps as a makeshift one. However I know it is a resort surrounded by nature and these creatures will find a way. Breakfast was excellent, I have to says the breakfast staff is the hardest working team I have ever seen in all my travels. Not only do they have to greet and seat, but they also accommodate late breakfast comers who come after the allotted breakfast time and wait until they finish a lazy breakfast. The food here is delicious. It was a lovely stay. Ps. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance for Phan Thai, I recommend at 6:30, it’s not busy yet and you can take pics and enjoy the beautiful sky dimming into glorious colors. It starts to get really busy at around 7:40 ( it’s still bright out) .
