I recently stayed at this hotel, and while it has a lovely grand appearance from the outside, the interior feels a bit dated. A little fresh paint and some upgrades would really enhance the experience! You definitely get what you pay for.
My room had two single beds pushed together, which worked out well—I used one for my luggage and the other for sleeping. The bed was decent, though not the comfiest. On my first night, I noticed the curtains weren’t closing properly, letting in some light, but housekeeping was quick to fix it. However, the curtains could really use a good cleaning!
The shower was a bit tricky; it fluctuated between very hot and very cold, which made things interesting!
The pool area was nice, but there were only lounge tables instead of sunbeds, so I made do by lying down on one. I did have to remind the staff a few times to bring more pool towels, but they were friendly about it.
The bar had a limited selection of drinks and food, so I decided to eat out. The bartender was super nice and played a great playlist, especially featuring Jessie J!
I also appreciated the option for a late check-out on my departure day, which was just £10 for an extra five hours.
The location is very quiet, with not much around, so be prepared to venture out for dining and entertainment. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and with a few updates, this place could be even better!
