This Motel property is conveniently located right off of Interstate 5 at the south edge of Eugene where deer can sometimes be seen wandering about in the wooded hills that rise up above the back side of the motel. I’ve stayed here for quite a few nights over the past decade when visiting family members, and I’ve always been greeted with friendly staff at the front desk and given a clean, comfortable room at an affordable rate. This latest stay over Memorial Day weekend was no exception Rashad, the desk clerk who checked me in, was courteous and outgoing, gave me a choice of room location, and clearly described all the available amenities. I’ll definitely be considering another stay here when I come back down to Eugene again.

My stay was pretty much perfect at the Candlewood. At check in the front desk agent Crystal was so delightful and very helpful, she made sure to exceed our expectations, right from the start we felt very welcomed! A big shout out to Crystal for doing such a great job and being extra helpful with all our questions!!Our room was very clean and tidy, spacious and a great view from the free upgrade we received at check in. We will definitely be staying here again, when the staff is as wonderful as this experience we didn’t want to leave! Mary C.

The hotel is close to the high-speed, navigation is easy to find, as a way to take a break from Vancouver to San Francisco, the American breakfast is simple but the fruit is fresh, especially the strawberries are very good, the green leaves are hard. There is also homemade waffles, son super love, very good stay experience. Consider staying on the return trip.

This is a clean, modern hotel with a helpful staff and excellent breakfast, BUT the hotel's designer (at least for the main building in the front) seemed to focus on form over function. In particular, it seems that little attention was paid to sound-proofing, either between floors or from outside. I was awakened in the middle of two nights out of four, once by a noisy room above and once by street noise. It even seemed like the guest room windows were single-pane, which is ridiculous both for energy and noise. Other minor issues: though guests are provided with multiple large towels, the bathroom had only one small towel rod. And my wife disliked the sliding bathroom door that didn't really close off that room. There are apparently other buildings in the rear, but we know nothing of them. In summary, this hotel is a mixed bag: nice in many ways but don't expect quiet, especially if you have a room near Franklin Blvd.

We walked about 2 minutes to the student center for a tour of the University of Oregon. Then we also walked to the stadium, which is a beautiful walk over a bridge. Breakfast was ok, it’s food. Bedrooms are old, but clean. The accent chair had a stain, so we placed a towel over it and just didn’t sit there.

GGuest UserI booked the hotel with a third party. We called ahead to request a room with either 2 beds or a king. We were told that rooms were assigned and we did not have a choice. We were assigned an “accessible” king. Which was close to what we wanted anyway. Upon arriving at the hotel at 6pm, we were told our room was not ready. We asked if other kings or 2 bedded rooms were available and the answer was yes. However, we were not allowed to switch from our assigned “accessible” room. I suggested that perhaps the “accessible”’room should ne saved for someone that needed it. The answer was no and we were required to wait. I thought this was rediculous and unreasonable.

Ethan and Christian on the parking team were awesome, they helped us find a spot for our vehicle that would not fit in the garage. Front desk staff were super, and our stay was great! Pool and gym are a good feature, pool is small but fun and really warm. Gym is just enough equipment for a decent workout. Love this place, plan to come back soon.

GGuest UserI had the pleasure to spend thirteen nights here whilst working as a journalist covering the World Athletics Championship. The first thing that got me hooked, was the simply addictive lime & ginger drink, on of three flavors constantly available near the elevator. There os workout gear in every room, it's a pleasant walk to reach downtown. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, Reception staff is quick and available 24 hours, in the evening Brice knows how to run a good bar and the burger was the best one I had during my stay and I had four of them in thirteen days. Delicious breakfast Greek yoghurt and granola was my favorite, together with the burrito. . Allow me one small and slightly pedantic remark: thanks for purchasing one espresso/cappuccino machine. Thankfully there is a great local small coffee shop/bakery Palace a two minute walk away, try their home made cookies but do not go there too late as they are a local sensation.

GGuest UserI had an accessible room, I was disappointed there was no mirror in the room I could see myself in. I use a wheelchair and the only mirror was above the sink. I’m a diamond member and all other BW offer me a bottle of water at check in, they didn’t at this BW. Worst of all they put a $30.00 charge on my credit card. I know this is common, later it’s removed. But 22 days later it’s still on my card. I called them 4 times about it. The first 3 calls I was told the manager would return my call, they never did. Finally the 4th call, I was told the charge was dropped and I’d have to call my credit card. It’s now in dispute. The room was clean and the bed was more comfortable than most. But I will not be staying at this BW again.

FFEIHotel environment is not bad, next to a shopping center, is the opening of the hotel around the door early, the hotel staff can also, compare nice, we rented a car, the hotel can park, the river view by the river is not recommended, there is a railway nearby Very noisy at night, the train whistle all the way, this hotel is not in the city center, if you live here, it is strongly recommended to rent a car, the airport taxi to the hotel should be between 30 and 40 knives, tipping 3 knives enough. Figure 1 is just flying over the hotel when flying to Eugene.

GGuest UserOne of the 3 worst motels I have ever booked in... So bad I did not stay the night. I booked a room through Expedia because I was working entertainment at an event that was going to run well past midnight and didn't want to drive 3 hours home after. I didn't need anything fancy, just clean, safe and reasonably comfortable. While checking in, the other guests that I saw looked way too much like characters on COPS, and I don't mean the ones with badges! Sadly, the motel staff was not much better. I didn't have time before my gig to start looking for something else, so I checked in at about 6PM. The place seems to be a regular problem spot with local police due to the clientele. I was required to sign a waiver notice for evictions due to drugs, fights, loud noise, intoxication, etc. Entering the room, the smell was distinctly like ”stripper's perfume”, if you know what I mean. The bedspread looked like someone had been walking on it with filthy bare feet. I had been driving for several hours, and still had to work most of the night, so I pulled back the dirty bedspread to take a nap. After about 20 minutes, I heard a loud argument between one of the managers and a guest about whatever they were doing in their room. Getting ready for my gig, I didn't feel safe leaving anything of value in the room, so I packed it all back into my car. At that point, I decided that I would rather drive through the night after working, than come back to Executive Motel. $93 for a 20 minute nap!
