Nice well located hotel with friendly staff. We were there for 1 night in transit. Hotel does need some updates. Bathroom faucets didn't work as they should. Carpet in the room was worn. TV quality could also be better. But especially sauna and fitness could not be used. In other hotels, this is now possible after the pandemic. Could be better!

We experienced the hotel on a Sunday. Well, Sunday does not affect the acceptable quality of the rooms but the restaurant and bar are closed. The hotel is quietly located near the former Federal Garden Show (2007) and not far from the birthplace of the city's oldest son, Otto Dix. All in all an acceptable hotel - but 4 stars?

Positive: The location, it's only a few steps through a park to the theater. If you get a room facing the park you have a nice view. And it's very quiet at night. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. The air conditioning works very well in summer. Cons: The rooms are in dire need of a refurbishment. You've probably already noticed that, because the third floor is closed and you can hear construction noise on the 2nd floor all day long. There are no sockets by the bed, let alone USB sockets to charge a cell phone. It smells in the room. Furniture and TV are old. The shower heads calcified, so that little water comes out. The breakfast is rich and good, but too expensive at €21.00. It's annoying when you have to get an exit ticket for the underground car park every day during a stay of several days.

We were very pleased with the quality of the breakfast. Proper rolls from the baker (no sticky pre-baked rolls), scrambled eggs and bacon freshly prepared (not kept warm and dry for hours - like in many other hotels), very good Thuringian sausage specialties, fresh homemade Bircher muesli, fresh fruit salad (not frozen goods) and accompanied from a very courteous, guest-oriented, friendly service. Many other hotels could learn a lesson from that.

Good business hotel. Fast check-in. Fast internet. early breakfast. One side has castle view. That's very nice. Environment is not the burner now. But I assume that very few use the hotel as a city trip base.
