Tewitfield Marina

Our second stay,we booked and paid for a early check in.Everything was perfect unpacked our things and popped over to Longlands for a pizza and a few drinks.Back to number 4 Lapwing to watch tv and fed the ducks unfortunately my husband slipped on the mat at the patio doors onto the patio,we moved this away as it is a hazard,slept well both 🌙 nights wanted to stay another night but was booked up. We will be back soon.

This is certainly not a five star holiday park. The accommodation we were given had the bedrooms very close to a noisy road. The downstairs bedroom curtains allowed the light from the pathway lights to shine directly in. Also the mattress and my pillow was lumpy. When we removed the pillow case the pillow was yellow in comparison to my husband’s white pillow. On removal of the duvet cover we noticed three stains on the duvet. The upstairs shower temperature was not controllable and I almost got scalded. The sealant near the bath was a little mouldy and a tile was cracked. Behind the toilet it was filthy, a lolly stick was there as well. The downstairs bathroom shower was blocked and the bath mat was ripped. Behind the cushions on the sofa there was debris so it had not been vacuumed prior to us visiting. The TV was not a smart one and it was very small. The manager emailed me to ask about our experience and I told him everything. No apology has been received.

Everything about Tewitfield fantastic. Location, facilities, friendly pub on site with delicious food all contribute to a great experience. Lovely walks along the canal and don’t miss a visit to Kirby Lonsdale. Our 5 th visit and already looking forward to going back.

Beautiful place and has everything you need. We spent the day at the farm across the road which was fantastic. Cant wait to stay again. Apartment was so lovely and warm, we loved feeding the ducks on a morning too. Best night sleep we ever had. Will be back soon

I've stayed at Tewitfield Marina many times over the last few years and would only check here first for availability when I'm working in the area. The site is extremely quiet and private, and the all the units I have stayed in have been immaculately clean, safe and well-equipped. Management look after guests with personal touch, turning your lights and heating on before you arrive, and always leaving a complimentary pint of mile in the fridge. Other welcome packages can also be purchased. I've stayed on my own and also brought the family up in half terms & holidays sometimes. The units can accommodate all groups, with great facilities in everyone including integrated washing machines. We have also brought our dogs up too as many of the units are dog friendly (for a reasonable extra daily sum). Location is convenient, just a couple of minutes from the M6 - a good base for heading north into the Lakes. The whole site sits discreetly behind the Longlands Inn - pub and restaurant - which does very good food. Always handy.

Will def stay at these apartments again, our apartment was very clean, it was well equip, we enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the blankets provided. We have recommended staying at Tewitfield Marina to family and friends. Its very good value for money.
