The Vineyard Lamberhurst

We recently visited The Vineyard with friends and family. As usual, we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by Faye and the other members of staff with a smile and taken straight to our table. The meal was excellent, we all had different options across 3 courses and no one was disappointed! The service from Faye continued to be faultless even when we kept her waiting to make our choices!! We also make a great choice with the wine - we drank the Wildshark Bacchus. OMG it was amazing! It went with all our main choices - fish and meat. Thank you all for looking after us and we will be back again in the near future.

A great one night stay. The room is great value with a seperate lounge and bedroom. That banja onto the beer garden. The bedroom is accessed via a spiral staircase and has limited headroom but the room was comfortable. The evening meal was also good value with an interesting choice of pizzas. Breakfast wasn't available when we stayed but the village shop does pastries and coffee.

The meal we had was excellent, the fish was beautifully cooked and the service Faye gave us was second to none….friendly, professional, a credit to the Inn. The pub is very inviting, extremely friendly and accommodating, spotlessly clean, with a lovely atmosphere, the log burner and open fire just added to the whole experience. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Stayed a Saturday night to attend a party nearby. Arrived to find Fun Fair on the adjacent green in full swing and although it was very warm with windows open for breeze it wasn’t too intrusive. Sweet little room with spiral staircase up to bed area with all other facilities downs stairs (bathroom with excellent shower-the kalk around the base of the tray could do with replacing-loo and basin. The room was very small but hey it’s an old building and the owners need to maximise turnover so as we were only there for 24 hours it was fine for the money. Super super breakfast served by a lovely cheery lady on a warm sunny Sunday morning-what else could one need? All in all a very good choice and we, despite being a bit too old for tight spiral staircases, enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at the vineyard for a friend's wedding in the area.The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff are helpful and friendly, and we had a great breakfast! Would recommend staying here for a break in the countryside.

We spent one night here in June. The room was small and had a little patio area that overlooked the pub garden. The room was small but adequate for one night. Negative points there was a spiral staircase that had very narrow treads which made it ackward to to use particularly while half asleep during the night when I needed the toilet which was downstairs. Also there was no mirror near any sockets for drying hair. The restaurant was well decorated and the food was delicious and all the staff were friendly. I will certainly look at other elite pubs in the near future
