Very friendly and helpful service, nice beach and convenient location in the middle of island. The hotel offers day trip and airport transport.

What a lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. There were many positives, in particular the friendly staff, lovely rooms, beautiful setting and gorgeous evening meals. There was one negative: the taxi ordering service offered by Sinalei was unreliable. We had arranged with Sinalei, by email, for a taxi to meet us upon our arrival in Upolu and transport us to the resort. Even though we reminded them the night before our arrival they forgot to order a taxi. This just meant a half hour wait. However we also pre-ordered a taxi, through Sinalei, to take us to the airport for departure, and then reminded them 3 times. On the morning of departure no taxi arrived. No explanation was provided, we were just assured that it was "on its way". After 20 minutes we became insistent. Then a local taxi driver arrived - turned out there was a taxi company just up the road - shouted at the staff and apologised to us. Impossible to know what had happened behind the scenes. Just bear this in mind and perhaps make your own arrangement with the nearby taxi company.

Great place to stay. So welcoming to us both. We had a minor emergency and the owner and wife were so helpful also the driver ,Sio.They went the extra mile to assist us. Gardens beautiful also the beach. Great to be able to swim with the turtles. Simple breakfast but able to buy a good cooked breakfast. The Samoan people are laid back and not in a hurry .We need to take a leaf out their book and slow down and enjoy life.

I didn't know what to expect at first, this was my first time staying away from Apia but this has honestly been the best experience I've had in samoa thus far. Although the weather has been terrible, my experience here at sina Lei has been absolutely beautiful. From the moment we stepped in we were checked in early, our bags carried to our room. The room itself is stunning with a view of the lush green hills and palm trees and the gorgeous bathroom with the glass roof. Our room came with the deck outside dressed with a coffee table and 2 chairs, as well as inside as well next to our fridge and coffee and tea station. My partner and I had decided to go to the spa for the first time on our first day after checking in and settling. We each got a facial and the spa rooms were absolutely stunning, right next to the beach, I had the 45 minute facial and short massage and just hearing the sound of the beach waves, the cool sea breeze against your skin enhanced my experience. The women at the spa were very kind, very attentive and greet us daily whenever they see us. Im going for a full body massage today im really looking forward to it. The food is honestly delicious, like I kid you not, it's honestly the best food I've had at any resort and I've stayed at 6 resorts these past 3 weeks both in an out of town. I haven't had the best experience with food at some resorts here but every pasta dish I've had here was divine. Even the deserts, everything was presented beautifully, the staff treated us well and the events manager/ fnb manager greeted us like old friends. The waiting time was also really swift, about a 5-10 minute wait. We went to the entertainment night yesterday on Wednesday, it was dance performances + Siva afi (fire dance). The performances were beautiful as well as funny in their own way. ALL staff members even the waiters got involved at their ending performance and they had EVERYBODY up and involved and encouraged everyone to come together, the atmosphere was so good, absolutely beautiful. The Siva afi was also very well done, it was my first time seeing men AND women take part in it and even a child !! It was honestly riveting to watch and an amazing experience. All in all, this is the best resort I've stayed at in samoa so far. The staff are very helpful, kind and polite. Food was amazing, and even the views of the beach and animals within the water were beautiful. Would definitely recommend to couples coming to samoa for a getaway. Thank you sina lei for this experience !

We went with two couples end July and had a great stay at Sinalei. The staff were incredible. So happy and accommodating and we felt welcomed and had some great chats with them all. John, (had an amazing voice and love how he would sing at the bar in the arvos) Peta lovely girl, and Petana who loved his rugby. Was awesome talking to Joe who owns the resort and his amazing work he does for his villages. We hired a car and did all of the site seeing, the giant clams were awesome and there were so many turtles just out the front of the resorts beach (get a kayak as they are a bit scared). Food was great - lots of seafood which was fresh and well prepared but enough variety if you don’t like seafood too. Weather was amazing and the sea so clear, we went to the black sand beach, bit of a wild drive there and you pay one of the local houses to get there but is just incredible (just a few kms from the resort but you have to drive) we had the beach to ourselves and well worth the trip. Will definitely go back and highly recommend

We came here for lunch and were so impressed by the service, views and food, we came back the next day for another wonderful lunch. It's an impressive entrance to the resort and car park, it's then just a short walk on the board walk to the restaurant, which is built out over the water. The views from your table are magnificent, as you look directly over the water to the reef. The menu has a good selection and would suit anyone's tastes.

Dear Sinalei and staff. My husband and I have just spent 14 nights at this lovely resort. We spent the first 9x nights in the presidential suite, and then the following 5x nights in an ocean view garden room. The resort is immaculately kept by a team of wonderful gardeners, restaurant, reception staff, and maintenance crew. These people became our friends and nothing was too much trouble for them, I thank you all. After the 2009 tsunami which destroyed the entire place, they have rebuilt with love and passion. We are seasoned travelers and our expectations were not high, but we were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of our accommodation. The rooms were in keeping with the mood of the resort, kept very clean, good showers, and the restaurant served excellent food. We stayed at Coconuts last year, and Sinalei was far superior. The owner, Joe, is a decent good man, well respected in Samoa and talking to him about the local history was fascinating. The spa rooms are over the water and the girls are very good. Tours or rental cars are readily available. Sinalei has been selected out of all Western Samoan resorts & hotels, to host King Charles and Camilla in October so that is testament to the integrity of all. We shall return. Sparks and Jenny.

Stayed here and felt it way over rated compared to what you would call a real five star. Although the setting is pretty the whole resort let's itself down. It's a resort for kiwis and of course they will say good things. But my wife and I are seasoned global travellers to five star luxury resorts and Sinalei is far far from it. She is more three star. And that's being fair. Poor rooms which are two star to three star bungalows for what you pay. Old and dated rooms. Food mediocre, service you have to yell for them to come serve you. Linen and beds are very old and tired. Showers are tied, old and need a major uplift. Old floor tiles in the rooms. No TV. no phones and no MINI bars. After 9pm it's boring boring with nothing to do. The whole record closes. Food like the service is a big big hit and miss. Bland and yuck. Really bad. Go to coconuts for a good feed. Lastly watch out for the owner called Joe. Elderly bold headed gentlemen more interested in my wife then our complaints about his resort. Made us very very uncomfortable seeing him watching us. Joe is is name the owner.

Right off the bat, Sinalei swept us into a week of pure bliss. It was like our own little paradise, with amazing food, chill vibes, and a peaceful beachfront that provided the perfect space for relaxation. Each morning, we were greeted with a simple yet satisfying breakfast, setting the tone for a day of leisure. The culinary highlights were undoubtedly the BBQ on Saturday and the Fiafia Island food on Wednesday night—both offering a taste of the local fare. The daily complimentary afternoon tea was a delightful touch, complete with freshly made cookies, muffins, and club sandwiches that alternated each day, ensuring a sweet surprise awaited us. A standout experience was the Body Treatment Spa, where the exceptional use of Samoan-made Mailelani body oils left us feeling rejuvenated. A visit to their local shop in Apia is a must for any guests seeking to take a piece of this tranquillity home. The poolside area was nothing short of lovely, and our traditional villa, merely 20 steps away, made it convenient for early morning and evening dips. It was the perfect blend of privacy and accessibility. We must extend a shout-out to the hardworking owners and the Aiga support they provide. It’s heartwarming to see the local staff take pride in their work, contributing to an exceptional resort that reciprocates by giving back to the local villages through employment. Having stayed here in 2012, 2015, and now 2024, our Aiga from NZ can attest to the consistent charm of Sinalei. Above all, it’s the dedicated staff—who work tirelessly for their Aiga—that we hold dear. Their commitment is the resort’s truest luxury. Thank you, fa‘a fetai, Sinalei, for a memorable stay that will be cherished for years to come.
