Excellent place for food. Creative chef with interesting different themes each night of the week. Good a**osphere and really helpful welcoming staff. Options for vegetarians and good beer on tap. Very dog friendly and great location surrounded by many options for walks and rides.

Picturesque location, amazing hosts and full of the yokels when we arrived for the new appoin**ent of the new mayor, who gave us a tune or two. Gorgeous accommodation so clean, delicious food, staff so helpful and would love to go back. Could not fault anything . Stayed in great end.

Great character filled accommodation set within Natural terrain, yet within reach of civilisation. Well looked after property, excellent service from everyone - from Reception to Bar to Restaurant to breakfast. If you want to escape the daily chores into a comfortable accommodation set in a natural location then this is it!

The Staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough for us. The room was beautiful, welcoming and super clean. We had a very comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was perfect. Our dinner was lovely. My only disappoin**ent was the salad (main course) Other than the chicken, which was very nice, tomato and lettuce alone does not make for an enjoyable salad. Robinsons need to rethink their salads.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband. It is a real country pub with lovely views. They have 10 rooms in total. Everywhere is very clean, the room was cozy with a decent sized bathroom and a big comfy bed. They book you a table for your evening meal when you book your stay, that's a good idea as you are a good 10-15 minutes drive into Bowness if you wanted to eat out. Both evening meals were lovely and each day of the week they have an offer, eg Wednesday is curry night 2 for £25 bit thru still have their full evening menu on as well. Great choice of real ales, gin and wine. Breakfast was equally as good and nothing is too much trouble. They are dog friendly for staying and eating and even have a dog menu for food. Lovely outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and we definitely want to go back.

Great place for a stay in the Lakes
Everything at the Queens Head is done to a high standard.The staff were friendly and helpful, food and room were great.
Would highly recommend a stay.

An excellent place to stay, great food and service. The room was great, with everything you need. Very dog friendly. One very minor thing was the tea bags were very weak and flavourless. Breakfast was superb and we ate at the pub for three nights. All meals were very good.

We enjoyed overnight stay clean and service excellent, best breakfast l have had for a while . The fresh danish was still warm from the oven. Dinner was excellent too.
