This my family's second trip here but first time up in the summer and it was excellent. The hotel staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Our kids loved the nightly smores by the fire, the wide selection of paddle boards and kayaks and the swimming area. Yes the water is fairly cool but on a nice day it's fine and they spent a good deal of time swimming to the floating docks and then going back to take out a different kayak or paddle board. The cottage restaurant has some of the best sandwiches ever - get the Christine - you will not be disappointed. The view from a higher floor is magical. We love it here and will be coming back.

Beautifully situated on Mirror Lake with exquisite landscaping and mass plantings of gorgeous flowers, the inn is within walking distance of the restaurants and cute shops of Lake Placid. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Just couldn’t get over the old dark hallways and dated room. We spent most of our time outside.

mirror lake inn spa and resort is amazing the rooms and decor is so beautiful and relaxing. it's so peaceful. the staff is very polite and courteous and friendly. the spa services are amazing and the pool sauna and hot tub are breath taking. lake Placid up in the Adirondacks so peaceful, just another reason to visit. if you can swing the cost it's worth every penny! so a wonderful place. this was our 3rd time here and wont be our last.. also the view restaurant lives up to the 4 diamond status. the cottage restaurant is wonderful too. a+ thank you so much.

Just got back from another wonderful stay at the Mirror Lake Inn, my quick go to get away. Always the most amazing experience. I Love the spa, The View restaurant and the Cottage. The Mirror Lake Inn is a must for those seeking a peaceful break.

Staff were friendly and helpful - always willing to help out. The building was charming with lots of places to sit and relax in a warm inviting atmosphere. The dinner was fantastic with friendly knowledgable service. The rooms were clean with a beautiful seating area. It was a pleasant surprise.

We can never say enough about MLI…..it is truly our “ happy Place”. We’ve been coming for 30 years & the quality is consistently excellent. Love the Adirondack feel to all the rooms & the whole place. It’s all about warm, cozy , good food , love the bar atmosphere , the entire staff & all around beautiful Inn. It’s the best no matter what the season. Come see for yourself.

Our excitement to stay here lasted about five minutes. From a very cold and impersonal check in, to seeing our $500 room and looking at each other in disbelief. We felt we were in a time warp, and not in a good way. Not sure how many decades ago this place was built but I don't think it has seen a lick of paint since new. From threadbare carpets to wood trim all scratched and dinged to antiquated everything, it's painful to see. Even the TV in our room was so old I couldn't download EPSN to watch the US Open since DirecTV had a Disney blackout. No complimentary water, no coffee maker in the room, it's beyond basic. The only positive, other than the view, was that the manager allowed us to get out of there after just one night and refunded the rest of our stay. I'm sure management will refute much of this, but it's not subjective, it is all fact for anyone to see. As another reviewer so aptly put it..."this is a Holiday Inn quality hotel posing and charging as a Ritz Carlton!".

The Mirror Lake Inn is perfect for a weekend getaway! My husband and I went for our babymoon and couldn’t have been happier. The room was beautiful with 2 floors and a balcony overlooking the lake. We also enjoyed the dining experience with their breakfast buffet and unbelievable 4 course dinner at The View. Highly recommend

Called Mirror Lake Inn to book a last minute trip. Was Optimistic based on online photos and reviews. Pros: Amenities: Outdoor pool is nice. Indoor pool doesnt appear to have been updated since the 70’s. Indoor pool is Cloudy suggesting imbalance of chlorination/bacteria. Lakefront is nice with kayaks and canoes. Views from rooms are very good- it is situated on a hill with sweeping lake views. Nice outdoor firepit, beautiful planted flower gardens. Cons: Very dated room. Pictures coming. Dark. Dingy. For comparison purposes, a hilton garden inn or hyatt house would be a big upgrade. Tried multiple times to find alternate rooms but no better options were offered/available. Was told we would be charged even if we leave, which given the state of the hotel and the fact that we booked it a mere few hours ago so its not like they lost the opportunity to book other guests in this room- is unreasonable. For 700+ total per night, this is not good value. Recommend staying elsewhere.
