UPPER LEVEL -Upon entry large formal dining/ family game room with gas fireplace large 10 top table -Gourmet kitchen with all the essentials to cook for over 12 people, Margaritaville blender, island and peninsula seating, Keurig/ coffeemaker -Large family room and dining room with 180 degree lake and mountain views, with casement windows to breathe in the mountain air, ceiling fan, sleeper couch. Reading nook. -Two king bedrooms with private bathrooms, ceiling fans, & light cancelling curtains. -Two and half bathrooms, (primary bedroom #1) with a triple head shower and large bench, (primary bathroom #2) one tub/shower combo bathroom has rain head and standard shower head the tub is an oversized soaker tub; and ( 1/2 bathroom) one powder room. -Laundry room with full-size washer/dryer. -Front concrete sidewalk with 2 chairs and grassed in area for your furry friends. We leave water and food dish, leash, and waste bags for furry friends. We do ask to cover couches with linens provided for furniture for your dogs please. Please message us if you are wanting to bring your furry friend we do have limitations to how many and sizes. Pet fee is $300. PONTOON BOAT With our listing we do provide pontoon boat at NO EXTRA CHARGE. The boat is only permitted for cruising/ fishing/ swimming, the Town of Lake Lure does not permit any water sports behind rental boats. If you are looking to be adventurous and try water sports please message us and we can get that lined up for you. One step into the front door and you immediately feel like you are walking on water. The home has an open floor plan; on the main floor, which is easily accessible by the parking area is the living room, kitchen, laundry, two bedrooms, and 2.5 baths, as well as a main living room. The main level living room has a large queen sleeper couch for extra guests. The living room has a nice area to play board games or sit back and enjoy your favorite book, or grab the binoculars for bird watching. The master bedroom is equipped with a king size bed as well as a gorgeous private master bath. After a long day of playing in the sun, come in and stand under the rain shower in the master bath. The additional bedroom on the main living floor has the original hardwood floors from the 40’s and boast a comfy king size bed. The private bathroom will not disappoint, it has a large soaker tub plus a rain shower. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped for those home cooked family meals. It offers a large bar for seating along with a farmhouse style sink that reminds you that you're in the south! From the kitchen there is a formal dining room area that has the original 1940's fireplace with newly outfitted propane logs for those chilly nights. The dining room has enough seating for 8 comfortably, with additional chairs offered if needed. On the lower level, there is a second living room with a large TV for gaming or sports, along with a nicely equipped kitchenette with an additional fridge and sink. The lower level has two additional bedrooms each with queen beds and both bedrooms have private baths as well. One of the lower bathrooms has a vintage claw foot tub dating back to 1911, what a nice way to end the day! From the lower level you can access the private six-person hot tub to relax and enjoy those starry nights. You can also access a large covered porch with its own private bar. While mountain lakes are known for lots of steps, this property is easily accessible with just 8 steps from parking to the front door or a side yard ramp as well. From the house there are multiple ways to access the lake from the lower level as well as the upper level. We hope you are ready for some water activities on your vacation. The house comes with a 22 ft. pontoon boat, 2 standup paddleboards, and a slew of floating chairs and aqua toys. While at the waters edge this house has what Lake Lure is known for the classic jump off boat house and this one will not disappoint with its 12 foot decent into the water. After enjoying the lakes amenities there is a nice hot/cold outdoor shower to rinse off and recap the days adventures! We do require that guests present a pontoon boat security deposit upon arrival for the protection of the homeowners as well as boaters test for Town of Lake Lure. This will be in a check form and shredded after pontoon boat check in if there is no problems. At this time, we will be requiring all future guests upon arrival to provide a security deposit in a check form for $500.00 (to Lake Dog Properties) this check will not be cashed unless there is mechanical damage to the pontoon boat, which we will properly inspect after each guest departure. If at that time there is no issue we will properly dispose of the check. We want our guests to be aware that with Lures Edge Retreat, we are not responsible for any refund due to the fact that the boat is not functioning or unusable during your visit, as we provide the boat as a courtesy. If the boat is broken it is our duty to have the boat up and cruising again within a timely manner but sometimes these factors are outside of our control. While our property is a pet friendly property we do have restrictions. We permit up to two dogs per reservation. Also we do have size and breed restrictions. Please reach out directly if you are planning on bringing your four legged friend with you for approval. Please be aware the pontoon is not permitted to pull any water sports behind the boat. There are companies on the for waterskiing. *Please note that the lake is currently closed until May 2026 however all activities such as hiking, restaurants, Chimney Rock Park and Town of Chimney Rock are all OPEN! Perfect Lake House We stayed here for a week with our family! Byron was an excellent host! Easy to communicate with and responsive to our needs! The house is in a great location with a gorgeous view of the lake and the pontoon boat was an added bonus! The rooms were comfy and the kitchen had everything we could have needed! They recommended some great places for eating out and some beautiful wineries We really had a fantastic week and would stay here again! Thank you Byron!

Location and amenities We loved this property! The location was perfect! The house was well stocked in the kitchen for home cooked meals. I was surprised to see both a gas grill and charcoal grill. The hot tub was a hit but my favorite feature was the included boat for exploring the lake and watching the sunset! We hope to return in the future.

We’ll be back Everything about this home exceeded our expectations. Byron provided and stocked the house with everything you needed and more. He did a fantastic job with the renovations using the highest quality appliances and fixtures. The whole family enjoyed the week and talked about coming back again. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation on Lake Lure. The pontoon boat was an added bonus. Thank you Byron!

Lures Edge Retreat Great stay. As advertised. Beautiful view of the lake. Excellent communication with the property manager. Hot tub and pontoon boat were big pluses. Highly recommended!

Perfect house! Perfect location!!! This home is even better in person than the photos - Wow - The view, the lake and the mountains are stunning! The beds are comfy, and there are water toys galore. Byron and his mom, Barbara, were wonderful in answering any and all questions. Do not hesitate to stay in this home!! The kitchen is loaded with way more than the usual basics as well. We would love to go back!

Can’t say enough!! Byron could not have been more accommodating. From the minute we got there he was the gracious host. Any questions? He was always available. The house was perfect for our family. It was clean, spacious, and fully stocked for cooking needs. The boat dock area was loaded with paddle boards, kayaks, and most importantly, a wonderful pontoon. It made the week so special to be able access the beauty of the lake. Sunsets were my favorite time. I truly can’t wait to get back. Thanks for making our time so enjoyable!!

Great Lake Getaway We joined some friends for a lovely weekend getaway. Although the lake was in it's drained state we still had a great time. I'd love to come back at full levels and take advantage of all of the excellent toys that come with rental. What a beautiful spot!
