Visited with friends, view was fantastic, but townhouse was in need of updating. Stains on chairs and rugs. Everything was mismatched and overcrowded with large furniture. Getting to the townhouse was difficult due to parking lot being a distance from unit and hilly terrain with gravel walkways

This place is amazing! The check in was so quick and the girl behind the counter was so welcoming. Extremely clean, beautiful villa right on the lake and the vila itself is so cute! You can hear the waves lapping the shore from almost every room. And that giant rain shower head.. come on! We went for our 19th wedding anniversary, and we found our dream romantic vacation spot.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, private, updated and very family oriented. Beautiful view of Lake George from inside and out. Large 2 br 2 bth updated but rustic cabin with plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The grounds are prestine workers are constantly cleaning and maintaining the property. If you need anything additional I.e towels, toilet paper, paper towels you just ask and they bring it right to your door. There is no daily house keeping, they give you your privacy and space to enjoy your days with your family. If you need something, you just have to ask, which I actually prefer. Kayaks are free, fishing on the dock with the kids was fun. Kids loved the pool and the slide. Beach was clean and water was warm. We enjoyed our stay and will be back next year for our yearly trip to the lake. We loved the updates, but we also loved the rustic feel.

The view and location are always breathtaking. The facilities and amenities improve every year. All of the staff are extremely responsive no matter the time of day. Their friendliness and attentiveness are absolutely stellar year after year.

Love this place have been coming up since 2010 and am just in love. The villas have been nicely updated and such an enjoyable place. Only thing is it's a bit hilly so if you have senior family members it can be challenging for them. My only dissatisfaction was the pillows. Overall I still rate it a 5

No housekeeping service. No assistance with baggage. You get sent an email two days in advance of checking in that you MUST sign waivers, which include notice of no housekeeping, curtains that didn't close. Skip it if you're looking for a quality stay.

The view from the cabins cannot be beat, beautiful and relaxing trip! The beds are very comfortable, staff is excellent, and we love it! Pool is heated, docks for your boat, kayaks, cornhole, and a restaurant. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you Sun Castle

We unfortunately stayed at Erlowest and Sun Castle Resort from November 1-3, 2024 for a wedding. Not knowing your resort, we thought that we would have very nice accommodations especially considering the event. My wife and my son stayed with me in Cabin #11. My wife and I are both 74 years old. Considering our age, we didn't realize that we had to carry the luggage so far downhill to the cabin that we were staying in. So, the outside temperature, when we arrived, was 63 degrees, but it was going to drop overnight. When we got into the cabin, it was pretty cool inside. I found the remote that operated the 3 wall heater/air conditioner units and pushed the temperature up 74, thinking that it would get much warmer. We had a Welcome Party to go to so we just brought our luggage in and tried to set them up. We headed out for the party and didn't come back to the cabin until about 11:30 pm. It was getting colder in the cabin because the heaters never came on. I thought that the heaters would have come on in the middle of the night. Boy, was I wrong. To top it off, the TV in our bedroom didn't work. So, instead of trying to do anything else, we went directly to bed, not only to sleep, but to try and get warm. In the middle of the night, we got pretty cold even considering we were huddled together, so l looked for some other blankets, but there weren't any to be found. It got very cold that night. The next morning, even though the cabin was pretty cold, I wanted to quickly chill down some water, so l put it in the freezer and noticed that the upper shelf was rusted. I felt like the old refrigerator with rust on the shelving, was an example of how dirty the cabin was. I went in to take a shower. As soon as I open the water faucet, brown water came out. I thought to myself, what else could be wrong. The water did clear up after running it for a period of time. Later that day, I went to the check-in desk to tell them we didn't have any heat in the cabin. The maintenance man was there. He over heard me tell them that there was no heat. He said he would go and fix it immediately. Later on that evening, there was heat in the living room/ kitchen, but none in either bedroom. That night, the temperature was dropping to 30 degrees. All night long, my feet were freezing. My wife was even shocked how cold my feet were when I brushed them up against her. She wanted me to stay away. We got up in the morning, and I took a shower. Thank God there was hot water. I could finally get warm again, before stepping out into a much colder bathroom. I toweled myself off and prepared to leave to head back home. So we dragged our luggage back up the hill to our car. We were never so glad to get back into a nice warm car and leave this "resort". We will never come back here again. For further context, we came into the area on Wednesday, 2 days prior to checking into Erlowest, to check out the area. We stayed at the Marriott in town. It was such a wonderful hotel.
