Great time. Nice carriage ride. Tour guides were a little cold but not horrible.

Fort Wilderness is the best. Housekeeping is so friendly and do an excellent job with the cabins. My only gripe is with some of the bus drivers--let me be clear, MOST drivers are awesome people, but some are just plain rude. If the signs on the bus clearly stated where they were going next, it would reduce the need to ask questions about where the bus is going (especially since the sign will say Magic Kingdom, instead of its true next stop, Wilderness Lodge). During our last trip in January, we checked in and walked to the the bus stop. We didn't see the crosswalk so we walked in front of one of the 4 parked busses. The lady yelled at us and honked the horn as we got to the curb. What a great way to start a Disney trip! Oh and you need to rent a golf cart--it's a must--otherwise you will be waiting for busses all day.

Dear Fort Wilderness Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some feedback regarding our recent stay at Fort Wilderness. We were very excited about our camping trip; however, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience. I had initially intended to leave a positive review, but due to the numerous problems we faced, it is difficult to do so. This trip was a graduation present for my son, and unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations, essentially ruining what was supposed to be a special occasion. Many aspects of our stay did not meet the advertised standards, and it has left us questioning whether we would return to this property or recommend it to others. The issues we encountered include: 1. **Refillable Cups**: We purchased a $24 refillable cup, but the ice machines were not functioning, which was very inconvenient as well as frustrating. Why did I pay such. High price for something that doesn’t work? 2. **Electric Bikes**: We were disappointed to discover that electric bikes are not permitted, only manual bikes. Additionally, the website does not clearly state that golf carts are generally sold out, leaving guests with limited transportation options unless they use the buses or walk. 3. **Pool Seating**: Many guests reserve pool chairs with towels without using them, leaving others without seating. This practice should be monitored by staff to ensure all paying guests can enjoy the pool amenities. 4. **High Food Prices**: The cost of food items, such as $11.99 for a slice of pizza, is excessively high. 5. **Fishing Areas**: The designated fishing areas are limited to two small spots, both of which are in direct sunlight. This makes it challenging for families with young children to enjoy this activity comfortably. It also makes zero sense when there are an abundance of shaded spots that fishing is possible. 6. **Chipmunk Show**: The seating arrangement for the Chipmunk Show is problematic. Children are required to sit in the bleachers far from the stage, which causes them to become upset because they cannot see the characters, disrupting the experience for everyone. 7. **Playgrounds**: The playgrounds are not shaded, making them uncomfortable for children to use during the day. 8. **Pool Restrictions**: Guests are not allowed to jump into the pool or sit on the edge to watch their children, yet there is often no available seating due to reserved chairs. This creates a stressful environment for parents with young children. Given these experiences, it is hard for me to consider returning to Fort Wilderness. This is particularly disappointing because we have never encountered such issues at other Disney properties. The standards here did not meet the usual Disney quality, and it is clear that improvements are needed.  We had high hopes for this trip and believed that Disney would provide a memorable and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We

What a perfect spot to enjoy and truly relax. We strongly recommend: bring your faithful companion and rent a golf cart too. Our pooch is older and loved chilling in the cabin. Dogs can be left up to seven hours alone which forces a great nap on park days. The golf cart helps you get everywhere fast within the resort. Sport and bike rentals are made easy. Food is delicious. Service - of course - amazing!!! Beds were super comfy, all the amenities you need in the cabin and more.. just call them, they’ll bring it to you. Riding the boat around the lagoon to the Magic Kingdom and the other resorts was a breeze. Best resort yet in our multiple visits to WDW.

I sat at the picnic table on the deck for 20 minutes 5/4/23 and got ravaged. Thought just mosquitos. Not so, now on meds for 10 days. Either Ants or Spiders not sure. Itchy, red and hot. Bite blisters and cellulitis appeared on 5/6/24. Notified Disney on 5/6/24 of issue. 5/7/24 received email about insect maintenance- not impressed. On 5/7/24 sent update on medical and pictures-crickets. Sent email to corporate today 5/9/24. Not renewing our passes and no longer staying at Fort Wilderness. Stayed there since 1986 amongst many other of their resorts.

Went to see the Hoop Dee Doo Music Revue dinner and show. It was so awesome, fun, laughing time. The singers are great the show was well done. Dinner is Salad, coleslaw, corn bread, fried chicken , ribs, mash potatoes, mac and cheese and beans all you can eat just tell the server when you do not want anymore or ask him to bring your favorite sides again. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.. Buy your tickets in advance three show times to choose from. IF you ARE NOT staying at the campground you can only get in to the campground 2 hours before your show time. Once inside you can visit the Disney stables of horses there is one upon arrival as you wait the bus to take you into the Settlement (you can not walk in it is way too far). There is another stable close to the restaurant to see the horses as well. great family experience for all.

Awesome place to stay. A little pricey when we stayed in February (prime season). Fireworks every night at 8:00pm lasting 15 t 20 minutes, a lighted boat parade at the beach and a heated swimming pool. Golf cart rental a little pricey but well worth it. Overall a nice place to stay

Sooo peaceful and quiet after a day at the parks. The grill on the deck was my favorite. Bus transportation to and from the parks is the best because it is a smaller resort so the wait is less. Rent the golf cart because this place is BIG. Do not skip the boat to Magic Kingdom.
