Well equipped room if you’re looking to be self catering. The welcome was anything but friendly - we sincerely wondered what it was we’d said or not said. Arrived at the wrong moment obviously. The evening meal was nothing to ring home about. Really was the only sad example of fast food - low class mutton dressed up as lamb - in the whole two weeks we spent in Wales, England and Scotland. Definitely would never eat there again. Lack of hospitality practice. Sad really because the site itself is gorgeous.

自駕NC500性價比很高的選擇,入住離店都很方便,房間乾淨寬敞,有廚房和基本廚具。注意: 大廳酒吧區域有wifi但房間沒有。

We arrived very tired and were not impressed with the short and unfriendly welcome, were given a key, told to leave before 10 am. No free wifi allowed in rooms, were told to go to their pub for wifi. We did this as had to send a few emails and brought 2 on tap beers half pints £5 each, that was ok, still nobody spoke to us, the room was clean, sadly the fridge was not on so after chilling things for a few hours they were still warm, its not that hard to prepare a room really for the price they charge. The uht milk was curdling and expired which they were happy to exchange with fresh. No instructions on how to lock and unlock the only door, it wasn't the usual lock, no fan to keep cool it was hot weather, the fan on the wall wouldn't work, no instructions on the tv which kept telling us the signal was too weak, shower very hot and cold, was fine to have a cold shower due to warmer weather they did offer the use of the shower in room next door, seems to be a family run place full of their family, bar man rude no personality whatsoever, none of them, just a unpleasant place all round. Not Scottish people-so don’t expect the friendly Scottish experience here. I didn't want to keep running over to there locked up place to ask for instructions I felt i was too much of an inconvenience. Never again.

Fantastic stay, Craig and Sue were most welcoming. Room was spotless and had everything you need. Fantastic views from the room, and even better views if you wander a short distance. Food was excellent as was the service. Would definitely return!

A couple of motorbikers, we only stopped off for a break and a cuppa. A lovely couple to chat to, certainly passed the attitude test. I'd recommend this place on that alone. A lovely view too. I'd certainly put it on my list of places to stay. Ideally situated to explore the North of Scotland.

We pulled in here after a long day of driving and were immediately made to feel welcome. The room was clean, well equipped, and had an amazing view overlooking the loch outside. We missed dinner as we arrived a bit late, but the breakfast was perfect to set us up for another day of driving.

We were delighted with the Altnacealgach Motel. Our room was bright and spacious, the kitchenette contained everything we needed, the shower room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The situation on a quiet road by the side of a picturesque lake was peaceful and delightful. We had a friendly welcome and enjoyed some real ale in the bar before supper in our room while enjoying the view. For anyone doing the 500 the motel/inn would be a perfect choice as it's only 1.5 miles off the main route and would provide a delightful and restful interlude.
