Safari Get Away A Safari Get Away The hotel is amazing. The rooms are very spacious. Room number 54 is very noisy we had to be moved. However, the animals are down there late at night tons of zebras, warthogs, antelope, rhino passing by to go the watering hole, giraffes and elephants. The view in the morning as the sunrises is amazingly beautiful. I would give the food a 3! The food is good, but they need to mix it up. We were there for three nights and after day one and a half it became repetitive. I didn't particularly care that they charge us for water or beverages at meal times.

This place was had the most amazing at lodge viewing of lots of wildlife at the waterhole right in front of the camp. So, you could walk around the water to see elephants, giraffes and rhinos and buffalo wallowing in the mud! That was great fun. The view from the dining room was awesome...right onto the waterhole. But, we prefer non-buffet meals. And the restaurant was large so not intimate...we enjoyed the other places we stayed more because meals felt more intimate. Going into Ol Pejeta on game drives was wonderful...we got lots of photos!

"Definitely worth a visit! This hotel is located within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you can see plenty of wildlife, including rhinos, zebras, buffalo, and waterbuck, right outside your room. Plus, the chance to experience a night game drive is an unforgettable opportunity!"

I wanted to take a moment to commend the exceptional team at Sweetwater Serena Camp. They made our one-night stay truly memorable, especially after my mum injured her knee. Upon learning of our situation, Amon, the reception manager, promptly and without any request, moved us to a more accessible room, ensuring my mum’s comfort. We were both deeply impressed by their efficiency and thoughtfulness. The resort itself is beautifully designed, and we were treated to the incredible sight of animals throughout the day, all with the stunning backdrop of Kenya’s second tallest mountain. I highly recommend booking a multi-day stay at Sweetwater Serena Camp, Ol Pejeta—you’ll never run out of things to enjoy. Thank you again for the wonderful experience.

My wife and I travelled all the way from Australia to pay our respects at the rhino cemetry. We chose to use a third party instead of direct. BIG MISTAKE, this tour company which I will not name gave us a disinterested barely speaking English $%#@, who had no interest in our experience as a client, after less that 24 hrs my wife was very upset. So we phoned the owner of the company who to his credit sorted things out. Within 1 hr we had the manager Dan at our accommodation giving us apologies even though it had nothing to do with him. He gave us an itinerary for the next 24 hrs and OMG what a difference. He gave us Denge who has over 20 years experience on game drives and we got to pay our respects at the cemetry with a backdrop of water buffaloes. We then had another 2 game drives with Denge and his wealth of knowledge is incredible a passionate individual who cares about the heritage and future of wildlife. All of the staff at ol pegeta were 100% I could not fault anyone, wait staff, gardeners room service - all at the top of their game. This brings me to the discussion I had with Dan when leaving and how grateful I was that he stepped in and in 3 words he summed up the situation "WE ARE PROFESSIONAL" You most certainly are. Finally DO NOT GO THROUGH A THIRD PARTY RING THEM DIRECT - YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

Had a lovely stay at this lodge. Accommodation is a spacious luxury tent on the edges of the park. We woke to see elephants and zebra wondering past. Food was great - really good experience (top tip leave the shower running on hot for a couple of minutes before use)

Fantastic tented camp. Clean lovely rooms with a deck overlooking the waterhole. You need to be in the front row closer to the restaurant for the best views but all are lovely. Ensure to take a night safari. It was fantastic. A really different perspective. The food is good and the dining room was not overcrowded. Staff were helpful and friendly. This was our first night on safari and what a wonderful introduction to the experience. We would highly recommend a visit to Sweetwaters Serena Camp.

The location is outstanding, the food is plentiful and of excellent quality - and the most outstanding feature is the efficiency and friendliness of the staff - from the manager downwards everyone makes you feel so welcome, and they go out of their way to make your stay a special one. Ol Pejeta is a world class wildlife location, and accommodation in the conservancy is very expensive - with the exception of Sweetwaters, which offers excellent value for money.

Wow, fantastic place. The 'tent' was a comfortable room, beautifully situated on the grounds. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom fine. The grounds were fantastic. This location was a highlight of my trip, I loved it. Walking out to the water hole where animals wander to, with Mt Kenya in the background, spectactular. The staff was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.
