My first business trip to Lahore from Hong Kong. Overall all I would rate this hotel *below average*, there is too many weird mistakes , don’t see the management actually care much and train their staff well enough.
First , room service speed is extremely slow. First night I was jet lagged and arrived late, I had to call the front desk for multiple times to add another mattress in the room , and in total it took them at least 2-3 hours. I have managed Asia well known luxury and non luxury hotel myself and I think in any category of hotel , this type of service speed is unacceptable.
Second , I asked for water one time . So I guess what most guest does is they call 0 in most hotel and the staff will send water up to the room. But in this hotel after you call 0 the response you will get is “I’m not responsible for this”. I had to call like 3-4 lines just to get bottle of waters was disappointing.
Third , breakfast is really boring and the service is very bad . The lady at the service is ok , but the guy in the black suit is extremely rude . I stayed 4 nights , and I have seen him almost every morning standing at the restaurant . He will look at you but he will never greet you . I think any F&B staff , even those F&B directors of luxury hotels that I used to work with used to greet everybody. That is something very basic . Last thing is the food , very normal , everyday the same . You will never find cutlery on the table , I had to ask the manager to find me fork , so he asked me to sit down but after 10mins I had to walk up and find myself . And of course he never came back as well.
Last and the most disgusting part of the stay was , after I checked out I saw the cleaner used same towel to wipe the rubbish bin surface and then he used the same towel to wipe elevator buttons. I don’t think this is to blame the hardworking worker , but it’s more the management job to train them well . So they know what is right thing to do in a hotel .
Personally speaking I don’t think I will stay in this hotel again because it way below my expectation. I hope the GM of this hotel will take my comments seriously and improve every bits of the hotel experience .
