We (me, wife, 17 and 18 y.o. boys) spent a full timeshare week in the Napili Tower (2 br, 2, bath mountain facing unit). We then moved out and moved into an 8th floor, 1 br, 2 bath unit in the Molokai Tower for 2 more nights.... While the unit was smaller, had only a 3/4 kitchen (no range/oven, smallish 3/4 sized fridge) and no in-unit laundry, we wished would could've stayed there an entire week instead of only 2 nights... The difference? We had an ocean-facing unit.... The view was nothing short of spectacular! This was our second time staying in the Molokai Tower within the past year....we stayed there over Spring Break this past March (north facing, 1 br, 2 bath unit with a partial ocean view) and were very satisfied. And even though it's located in the older section of the resort, there's something warmer and cozier about staying in that section of the resort vs the newer Napili Tower. The only 'complaint' was being up on the 8th floor on the ocean side of the tower, it would've been nice to have at least 1 elevator in that end of the building. All the elevators are at the other end of the building, across from reception... There was a stairway next to our room...no problem going down, but going back up....well, it's a pretty good workout. Overall, we really loved staying in the Molokai Tower both times. It's more than adequate for a family of 4 (it can actually sleep 5). So, if you don't need a ton of space and/or you can't score a bigger unit, the 1 br units in the Molokai tower are an excellent alternative.... I highly recommend it.
